Why can't they make nice models?

Model cars that is... I found these at a local k-mart and walmart. Honda will let toy companies make these ridiculous things but there is not one real model kit out. The hot-wheels cars are alright but I want to build one.

lambo doors with a sticker for an interior

smaller version. you push one button on the top and the rear wheels spin

Nice Model Cars?

One reason is that really nice model cars are expensive as hell! The market for models that cost mucho dinero is very small. Now these aren't kits (although kits might be in here somewhere... I haven't checked):

You can also see some expensive Ferrari models in different scales by Googling "SpeedGear."

I know this doesn't fully answer your question, but thought it worthwhile to at least post this.

I bet those wheels on the Road Ripper Si weigh at least 5 grams a piece. Too heavy for my blood. I would def upgrade to some SSR comps, Volk TE37 or even just motegi traklites and save at least a good 500 mg a wheel. You know how much unsprung weight that would be??? Geez.

$4000 for a model diecast model. and if you buy one i bet you probably wipe with hundred dolla bills yo.

I like the transformer Si, aka Rumble. Just not that into toys these days except my actual Si, to spend $20 on it.

I found this in my son's car collection a couple years ago. I was not there at the time of purchase, he just picked it out himself...

They're toys designed for kids, what do you expect? They have to be colorful and attractive to stand out among the billions of other toy cars.

AutoArt makes some pretty cool ones. Cost is $60-80 on ebay I think. Their race versions are sweet.

i like these models but i would like to see one that you have to put together. i had one of my old car and i modified it to look like my actualy car. it took 3 kits to make and a lot of custom work.
