regular = 2.35/gal X 13gal=30.55
premium = 2.55/gal X 13gal=33.15 i think the $3 is worth just filling up with premium instead of using an octane booster that may or may not actually work. and even if its up to $7 more a tank i still think its worth going with premium b/c how much does good octane booster cost? Last time i checked it was at least $7 a can if not more.

EX AT about 1200miles
I'm getting about 22-24 mpg. When I first got it, I was getting about 19, but ever since each tank of gas has slightly better mpg than the one before. Of course, it may be my show-off-ness and competitiveness that keeps the mpg down a bit :-\ |

Hmm, have yet to go highway (will go to Calgary next weekend (600km))
first fill I got around 430-450k for a 38-40litre fill. second solid 450 then was averaging the 34-35 mpg in town as advertised (imperial MPG not US) are advertised in Canada. Highway is advertised at 50mpg (ig) third tank I drove nice and easy (still on the tank.. just under half a tank and I got 350lm, so i expect to soo 500+K out of this tank.. i would take the gears to 2-2.5k and get through the gears wuick for in town. avoid jackrabbit starts, that way you can get some of that highway MPG kick in. (dont lug the engine though!) my 92 accord exr, 2.2 F22a6 would get around 440km in town and fill would be 48-50 litres (now its under 40 to fill!) so Im happy well within advertised specs.. And Im not at sea level! and I have a 5speed ex sedan,, and my weight..189lb ha.... |

I've ran regular in my si before, and in my supercharged bonneville, they both require premium. As long as you:
1) you dont only use regular; for example, 5 times premium and 1 times regular. 2) If you a running regular for some reason you shouldnt drive the car hard at all. Drive it normally. A honda mechanic told me under these conditions it would cause no damage. But again the difference in filling with premium and regualr is like $3 so just use premium!! |
