Story time vol.4

So i wake up this morning to 7 inches or so of snow.

And it reminded me of this story:

Its Sunday morning, and ive just awakened from a 4 hour spinning dream from drinking too much vodka the night before. And much to my surprise, there is literally 14 inches of snow outside. OVERNIGHT. Wth! I am about 35 miles from home, and i need to do my homework thats due on Monday. My parents call me, inquiring of my whereabouts. I tell them, im 35 miles away. They say stay there, at least until the snow lets up. I say no, no im on my way home.

I shouldve taken a sign to stay put when i couldnt find my own car in the lot, theres so much snow. So after 15 minutes i dig my car out and warm her up. 10 minutes or so later, i roll out in my Camry. All is well, traction is somewhat existent. Well im going about 35 mph down a freeway, when all of a sudden i hit a part of the highway where its SO cold, everything is freezing. Including the slush, making the roads a bumpy and rough. I have to correct the car's direction every few seconds to keep it straight. Im fine until i go from frozen slush to snow again. Immediately i lose control and begin sliding at a angle towards the median. Well, theres not much i can do at this point, so i slam into a 5 foot snow drift in the center. But as i impact the snow drift, i hear a sickly scraping sound. Did i hit concrete?

The drivers side door is stuck, so i get out of the passenger side, walk around to observe the damage. To my surprise i see something metallic where i hit the snow drift. I brush away the packed snow, to find...

A car!

Apparently someone had ditched it last night and it had been snowed over by about a foot. My drivers side door had slammed into his rear bumper corner. Its a older model vehicle, so its steel. My door panel is bent inwards. I dont have any paper or a pencil/pen, and i couldnt even dig my way to the guys plate. So unfortunately, i hit and ran this guy. =(

I get home in one piece somehow and explain what happend to my parents. They glared at me, i shouldve stayed put. but my stupid ass didnt listen. Homework kills, believe it!

SO anyways, i head back up that part of town to go to school like, a few days later. And the car is still there! Still snowed over. For the next 2 1/2 weeks i drove past that car, and it had received 2 tickets. APparently the car is from Missouri? On my way back home, there was a flatbed, hauling it sideways on the back, probably on its way to a impound or something.

Lesson: Dont drive in blizzards!
