...Basically i decided to post up some pics of my car on CRSX, which by the way I happen to think is fairly decent site catering to K-motor enthusiasts, so I get lots of good feedback, apperently some jerk-off took offense to some of my decals..follow his thread and see how everyone bashes this retard. Just wanted to pass this along to u guys. After seeing this, it makes me feel great coming here on 8th knowing that this type of crap would'nt be tolerated here. |

I am actually surprized to see all this love from RSX dudes. I've always had bad impressions on RSX drivers, even before I started driving a civic. Guess I gotta start respecting

Essentially yes. The K20 engine in the Type R is essentially the same as ours. So, internals should be alright. Intake/Exhaust MIGHT be slightly different enough not to fit. So, if Mugen makes internals for the Type R...
Basically, Mugen doesn't feel a need to cater to an overseas market because his market share is aimed at his home turf anyway. We Americans/Canadians just happen to like paying the extra for his stuff. I think it's a bad move, personally, but hey...it's their decision...

good stuff. CRSX has more good than bad people on it. Of course we have tools there, but hey, have some tools here too.
Problem with claiming "rice" is that it different per person. For me it is someone doing something to the car to pretend its something it's not. For example: adding a GT-R emblem to your Civic... um.. riiiiight. Or just a PEP Boys funded civic/geo/whatever. Normally call that Ghetto or Mexican rice as opposed to Asian rice.. oh yes I gave them regions too. |

I still don't see why everyone gets worked up about "rice". How do you guys define it? My friend said that he considers rice as adding parts to your car that make it look fast, but actually making it slower. Like adding a big wing, body kit, carbon fiber hood, etc.
I don't like adding body kits to my car because it's just added weight, but I like being different from other cars so I always have vinyl decals on the sides(no flames/dragons/chinese characters or anything like that). My friend thinks it's rice, even though it doesn't affect my speed at all. |

i think rice means-anything u add to a car that has no real purpose (ugly wings, unnecessary decals/stickers, big chrome rims on a Honda, etc.) now if u put something on ur car like a Mugen sock, yeah in actuallity it has no real purpose, but it's Mugen and it looks good.
If u remember back in the days when u used to see ppl wearing nike, reebok, etc. and then u came to school with sum payless or walmart shoes. Ppl made fun of that stuff it's kinda like that now with cars. If the name is popular it's cool, but if it's some other company it's RICE. |

Mugen sock is Mugen so it's ok? If its a show car, I say anything goes as long as time and care went into it. WAnt it hot pink with a extreme body kit? Ok... so long as its quality work. Not my cup of tea, but hey... you love, I can respect that. Are my Honda emblems on my DC5 rice or JDM? It's off a Honda Integra Type-R, but they don't add to the cars performance.. |
