Just got my VIN, now give me my car!

My salesman called me today to give me the VIN for my 2007 Civic Si in NBP with navi and summer tires. The build date was 9/24 - 9/28. I've been waiting for this car for almost seven months and I'm so close to actually getting it. The anticipation is driving me freaking insane. How am I supposed to put up with this for another week or two?

1) Sign up for a free user account at Photobucket.com
2) Buy a new digital SLR camera so that you can take lots of pictures of your Si and post them on 8thCivic. Put the pictures you take on Photobucket. That's why it's step #1.
3) Learn how to use your new camera.
4) Visit the site sponsors and load up on I/H/E stuff.
5) Look for and buy new wheels.
6) Take delivery of your Si.
7) Take pictures and post them on 8thCivic.
8) Drive 600 miles non-stop without ever VTECing.
9) When the odometer hits 600.1, VTEC the sh!t out of the car.
10) Install the parts you ordered from our site sponsors. Install new wheels as well.
11) Bask in the glory of your GTI/SRT-4/RSX-S/turbo'd tC killer.
12) Take pictures and post them on 8thCivic.
13) Watch your car insurance rates rise astronomically for no apparent reason.

Congrats on the VIN. It's tough knowing the car could be there at any minute. Just have patience and it'll be there before you know it. Then, follow 8gu's 13 step program.

I have a 4MP non SLR, it'll have to do.

I'm no pro with the camera, but I can use it well enough.

I think I'll wait until I can fully handle the Si before upgrading it. This will be a big step up from any car I've owned.

That's planned for the spring.

Anxiously awaiting this part.

No problems there.

Someday.

You can count on it.

Repeat of step 7?

Amazingly enough my insurance will only go up $112 a year, not too bad.

That damn car needs to hurry up and get here!!!

I went to the dealership today to talk about fog lights and I asked my salesman if he knew when the car would come in. He checked the book and realized it just came in today. He took me to the lot to look at it and wow, it was beautiful. I'm going back tomorrow to pick it up. I can't wait!

good luck sleeping tonight... you should put that navi to work and use it to come down to the fall meet next week, plus you'll break-in the car faster!

Yeah, I don't see myself getting much sleep. I won't be able to make it on such short notice, but I'd love to come a meet at a later point.

It's not winter here, not for a couple more months. And if it was? Oh well.

Five months? I waited seven months for my car. I put a deposit down on 3/10/06. The finance manager did a double take when he saw that on the order sheet today, hehe.

I'm not going to. I'll get all seasons or winter tires when it gets too cold for the summer tires. No biggie.

Haha, people usually say that when I tell them about my wait. On well, I'll have the car in about 11 hours. :)

Try not to get any body fluids on the interior surfaces while you're driving it home! Believe me, it'll be tough!

I really need to think of a name for this car, hmmm...

Well I got her, and I love her! I'll post a thread with pics in the morning. It was too dark when I got home from the dealership.

Here is why you buy new with 8 miles or less. I test drove the Si and the saleman told me to get over 6k RPM and keep going to feel the VTEC. So I did a few times, right up to redline. ... it had 10 miles on it
