If you pay close attention to the video, notice the emphasis on the environment: trees, water and blue sky. Also take note of the fact that it is a completely new Honda vehicle that is on the horizon. If it is completely new, how could it be a Type R as that is just a variant of the Civic? My guess is a fuel cell/hybrid that advances technology in emissions reduction and increases fuel economy. These are serious times for Honda. No time to bring on a performance car with probably lower fuel economy than the Si. If they could ditch their F1 team, then I see a visionary car that utilizes the latest, state of the art technology.

my dads been w/ honda for about 25 years so i thought hed be the guy to ask. i didnt think he would know but apparently this car is supposed to be some sort of crossover. its something like a small cr-v styles economy vehicle..like a sport yuke? (spelling) The owner of the dealer he works at attended a converence in Las Vegas and they revealed the vehicle for 20minutes covered it back up and took some questions. i think it was a private event but you might be able to find something if you snoop around..

I think jbsali has the right idea.

From what I've read, it will be a crossover based on the Accord platform, and will be called Honda Crosstour. Think Toyota Venza competitor.
