I absolutely LOVE my Mavic Fury shoes. I've got them in yellow. I also have the Bontrager MTB RL's and those aren't bad either.

Anyone planning on spending some tax return money on a bike? I posted a while back while I was in school wanting to upgrade from my bd.com bike to something more durable now that riding has become more serious for me.

...still not sure what I want to get, though. I was thinking AM but the trails around me now are more XC. Regardless I want to go FS. Anyone want to suggest an FS bike that's fairly decent at climbing? I find that to be my biggest concern. The trail I ride now has a lot of elevation changes and due to the nature of the trail I cannot really carry a lot of momentum onto the up-slopes. As far as budget is concerned, I'd like to get a bike that's going to last so I've got deeper pockets this time around.

Look into Giant Trance or Reign / Specialized Camber, Stumpjumper, Enduro / Trek Fuel EX or Remedy.

Just from the 3 most common brands. From there you can research on Intense or Santa Cruz brands. More expensive but worth the money.

What ever way you go, get a 29er.

I personally love my Trek Superfly 100.

They are going to start pushing the 27.5 hard. I'm curious to see how it stacks up
