If you are in the states, I don't care what dealer you go to, they are WRONG unless they say it the way I described above. I've visited both Honda headquarters and Mugen, I speak Japanese, I know how to say the word, most people in the US do not.

I always hear people mispronounce Hyundai and Daewoo.

Hyundai = "Hyun" is as in "Hun, get me my dinner!", except with a y sound after the h. "Dai" sounds almost exactly like day.

Daewoo = "Dae" sounds like day, except no y at the end. "Woo" the w is actually silent. It sounds like "oooh, look at that chick."

Foo, gee, tsu, bow

The tsu is a difficult sound for many non-Japanese speakers to say. You kinda gotta say it the t and the s together. Kinda like Jujitsu.

Thanks Jason, never really never had to say it, so I did what most people do when they can't say something proper, mumble it or cough

Actually, not DUH, buth DAH.

Like in the movie Beerfest "DAS BOOT" or in the movie Be Cool, the one gangster name is "Dabu", like when the doctor makes you say AHHHHHHH.

TOE-DAH

at 2:43 the driver will say "Mugen"

YouTube - Mugen Civic RR JDM FD2

to me it sounds like "mwu-gen" ("gen" sounds like "get" but "n" instead of "t")
