Mazda6

So for the past few days i have been driving a friends Mazda6... I thought this thing would be like spoiled milk compared 2 my Civic but damn i was wrong.. U can throw that thing into corners and its pretty damn quick off the line... Granted i love my Civic but i think i shouldve really looked at a Mazda6 too... I have the 6 tomorrow too... the one thing i wish my Civic had was the automanual override like the 6... BTW the Mazda is a 4cyl i Touring Sedan A/T...

If you think the Mazda6 is sweet, go test drive the Speed6. I'm not kidding, man. My opinion of Mazda changed while I was test driving that thing last week.

Neither is as good as a boosted RX8....

But the 6 is ok. I preferred the 3, but I think that's because I hate larger cars.

The three reminds me of our volvo too much. I like the lines of the 6. Sometimes bigger is good.

Good luck finding one (*ahem* at MSRP). Only 5,000 being built for North America per year, according to SCC....

...and ya'll thought the Si was bad.

Yeh, finding one will definitely be hard. But being in Canada, everything is at MSRP or lower.

Dealers will be making a big mistake selling at over MSRP. They will then be stepping into WRX territory. Unlike the SI, the Mazdaspeed currently does not have a following and after the early issues with the MS6 some people will not want anything to do with it. Out here in So Cal, 3 dealers that I know of will sell at MSRP and will not mark them up. Back on topic, yes the 6 is a wonderful vehicle, I like the hatchback myself.

By the way, Mazda 6 will top at 120mph. It has a limiter on it. and also Mazda 6 is not that great on Gas Mileage, and by the way it has the same engine as the Ford Contour and the same chasis. I was also interested on purchasing one but i did a little research.

I love how Ford is saving money these days. I love our Volvo but everytime I see a Focus I can't help but feel a little resentful. I even feel bad for the Mazda3 for being born of the same genes as the Focus.

But as far as gas mileage. If you're buying a car like that, gas mileage should be the furthest thing from your mind. When we bought the Volvo, we new what we were getting into. A turbo 5 cylinder and AWD. Gas guzzler from hell. If we wanted to save $$ we could've gotten the 2.4i. It's a bitch having two cars that require premium and don't get 40mpgs but they're both so worth it.

HAHA!! My girlfriend owns an 04 Mazda6 and yes... It is a sweet ride. When I just wanna kick back and enjoy a smooth and non-shifty ride, I look towards the Six for guidence.
