Do Armorall Interior wipes hurt the paint!?

Stupidly, i used an Armorall interior wipe on my hood to get off the remains of a dead bug. It left swirl marks but i washed the car after and it came off...but will it cause permenant damage to the paint...what should i do?

i really doubt it. i dont like using the wipes though, you have to use so many just to clean the inside. ArmorAll does clean very good though.

my friend bought this bug and tar remover for that kind of stuff, works good he said, ill try and get the brand for you later if you want it.

also it shouldnt hurt to bad if it makes any difference at all since you washed the car afterwards.

No, I doubt it will, unless you left it on there over an extended period of time or in the hot sun.

I've heard that's a decent way to remove bugs from the front, although whenever I take a road trip, I grab my bug and tar remover out of the car supplies in the trunk when I get to my destination, spray it on, spray some anti-brake dust on the wheels, and get a car wash, to hold it over until I can detail it again.

Remember, the longer you let ANYTHING sit on your car, the harder it is to get off, and the more it will be baked into the paint.

I've heard some bad things about Armor all all wipes. They contain a chemical that actually harms the interior in the long run. The best method is actually just some warm water.

That was a looooooooooooooooooonnnggggg time ago. And it only affected certain dashboards.
Armor-All is safe for use on our precious Civics. I use them on my sedan with no problems whatsoever.

Armor-All wipes are bad for any interior. Why? Because while it cleans, it doesn't let the plastic breathe. The protective layer ultimately can lead to your plastic cracking. Doesn't happen immediately, but over time it stresses the plastic.

Read my post.
The current formulation of Armor-All is no more harmful than Meguiar's, 3M or any other beloved brand of auto wipes.
Enthusiasts have been using vaseline for years in their dashboards without cracking; so "breathing" is not an issue.

303 is supposed to be really effective against the UV rays that cause the dashboard to crack.

Armor all really screws up my dash in my Si the first and only time I used it. There's streaks everywhere, discoloration, etc.
I use pledge for the interior and I wash the car often enough bugs don't have a chance to get really stuck
