Cobalt SS supercharged

I know there has been a thread on the cobalt before but i thought i would share my experience with you just cause i am bored and have nothing better to do. My loacal chevy dealership has had the three same cobalt ss supercharged cars on their lot now for over a month and yesderday the price was winally dropped on em to just under 22 grand, i have always kinda likeed em and was considering getting one before i took the Si for a spin, so today i went in to talk to a guy about one and go for a drive, we get in the first one and start takin off and i imediately notice the motor is missin and tell the salesman to prolly turn around and get it scheked out and sure enough on the way back the CEL turned on, keep in mind this car has about thirty miles on it, so we jump in the other cobalt and take off, he drove it off the lot and we were bs'n and he was sayin it was thinkin about tradin my Si in to forget about it because the civic is alot better of a car and the cobalt in his mind wouldnt be reliable 70k down the road, i finally get to drive it and imediately was dissapointed, for having over 200hp it felt like a turd, and only reving out to 6200 rpms was boring, all in all there is now way trading my civic in for a cobalt would ever happen, and even my girlfriend was like damn that car was alot slower than yours, please dont trade cars:)

I think they are using the blower pulley off of the Grand Prix GTP to up the boost. Sounds like alot, but I'm not calling him a liar.

That's alot of boost! The engine wont be able to handle that for a period of time, and probably burn the rings and pistons! (good fun)

It's painful to see that happen to any car even if it not’s mine. Yikes! But I'll never let that happen to my precious baby!

LOL both he and the SS were rookies. That 1/4 mile time for the SS is laughable.

more power yes, looks are for sh*t compared to an Si, and its american which means the interior is def not as nice as honda, even if our honda interior scratches easily as some of the posts have stated.

The numbers it puts out being supercharged are pathetic they should be much higher the only thing nicer about it is the TQ prob a little more punch down low is what it offers.
