It has the benefit of frequent brake-pad installation.

wont do much, not worth the time.

So this is something that I never thought of. Are you saying that when you get gas in the winter you are actually pumping more gas in then say when you pump gas in the summer???

Or is the significance so low that it doesn't really matter?

The significance is so low it doesn't matter! Even if the gas were at 10F instead of 70F, it wouldn't make a big difference, but gas is stored underground, where temperature fluctuations are minimal.

+100lbs wouldn't do anything?

i realize it won't do as much as a significant reduction in rolling weight (lighter rims, lighter tires, LRR tires)

100lbs itself doesn't do much...but 100lbs here and there quickly adds up to a significant amount.

Shaving 600lbs off of a 2800lb car does a lot.

100lbs (sprung) of reduction would be noticable...i notice this difference when there is a passenger in my car

im pretty sure that it is an exponential sort of thing to a point

unsprung weight is definitely noticable...flywheel, rims, pulleys

flywheel and pulleys are sprung weight

Dont forget to fill your tires with winter air. Replace headlight fluid to ensure they work. SAFETY FIRST!

ok i see what you mean how the flywheel and pulleys are sprung weight

if you want weight reduction, noone seems to pay attention to how much they weigh themselves.
