Angry god d@mn hail!!!

Man i'm scared s#itless right now, i live in central Jersey and it's raining and hailing like crazy! I've heard some horror stories regarding hails but I always thought I would be safe in NJ... I'm going to be so mad if I see any dent/scratch on my baby... I got the car less than a month ago for god's sakes, and I already had to take it to a body shop once because some jackass hit my car and ran away while I was in school... and I just got the car back yesterday! Back when I had my Scion toaster for three years nothing like this ever happened... so mad right now, wtf, argh.

yeah, i got a discount from the dealer cause mine got hailed on while on the lot. it may suck if you get hailed on, but as long as it isnt too bad, they can remove it all without any repainting or anything.

im just waiting for summer to end before i get mine fixed. just in case...

dude I know exactly what you mean. there isn't a real scratch or dent on my car and there is a big storm approaching that could have hail and Im prayin that it doesn't hail.

well, all the hailing stopped awhile ago and I went out to inspect my car, luckily there wasn't any visible scratch or dent... don't know for sure though, as the car was still wet. hopefully there won't be any...

I got my car caught in a hail storm a few weeks ago. I was at the In-Laws, so my precious was stuck outside (it usually stays in my garage). All I could do was stand there and watch as marble sized hail bounced and exploded off my car. I was sure it would have atleast a few dents in it, luckily none at all. I even waxed it a few days later so I could do an inch by inch inspection.

Yeah, don't worry about it. All it does is reduce the value of your car and make it look worse. Smart guy. -sarcasm-

I hate hail.

So im picking up my car tomorrow from hail damage. Let me just say it was the worst feeling ever looking at all the dents on my car and when the adjuster told me 6 g's worth of damage i was heartbroken. On top of all this im only 21 and have a deductable of 1000 dollars. Luckily i know some people and ended up getting it fixed for free but it took exactly 30 days tomorrow to get it done. So if you can avoid it do because it sucks more than you think it does.

having just gone through this i can offer a little insight. if theres damage, pay the deductible right away (mines 250) and set up an appointment. once theres a hail storm shops back up for litterally 3-4 months. I got hailed on in April and my appt's set up for next week. its crazy. it sucks but you have to fix it. more then half the time ive had my si its had the damage now. mine is appraised at 60-70 dents though too. (i can only see 15 of them but if you look close theres more)

I've actually stayed up till 2-3 in the morning on week days during storms just so I will know the second it hails so I can move my car. I live in an apartment that has car ports that you have to pay for. My Si is going to be under one of those the second it hails. I doubt they'd tow my car in the middle of a hail storm for parking in an empty 5-car car port that I don't pay the monthly fees for.

paintless dent repair... thats how they repair hail. go to the actual paintless dent repair guys and not the body shops. should be a lot cheaper; the body shops use these guys then estimate you more for the job and pocket the difference
