Hey everyone, just thought I would post this. I found the list on another car forum I visit, and thought it was interesting to talk about the sociological implications of such a list. I doctored it a little bit, putting photos of the car, and my own .02 in. Feel free to discuss, but please keep it civil, this isn't a debate thread. If anything, it's about the sociological patterns for minorities.



Saturn Sky
This car is a winner for Saturn, and just GM in general. The Solstice is nice, but the class, and lines of the Sky are unparalleled. Definately would be my first Roadster convertible choice if I wasn't looking for driving excitement, in which case I'd go with the MX-5, even though I thnik it's ass ugly.



Toyota Yaris
The Yaris, I dunno, I kinda like it. I hated it at first, but like I said in my Civic's thread: I like unique. I think it's slightly on the verge of obnoxiously ugly, as it looks like an alien (as many new Toyotas do), but I think it's a good price for a proven company.



Dodge Caliber
I dunno. It's not my first pick ( a little TOO butchy for me ) in terms of looks, but I am pumped about this 300 horsepower SRT version. I hear the interior is on quality par with the Neon, which is disheartening. US auto makers need to get up to date on the quality of their interiors.



Volkswagen Jetta
I love the new Jetta. It's conserative, classy, and good looking, but its' slightly overpriced for what I would want on it, and it has questionable VW reliability, or so I'm told.



Toyota Camry
The new Camry is a winner. Good looks, though not too stick out, a hybrid model, and nice options make for a winning car. If I were for a midsize sedan, that might be it.



Audi A3
Don't really follow Audi. Girl in my high school had a newer silver sedan, and I thought it was a good looking car, but nothing special, especially if you took away the Audi rings.



Toyota Prius
Ugly as hell, but it's hard to beat the gas milage. Only the Civic Hybrid comes close, from what I've seen.



Saab 9-3
Don't follow Saab.



Pontiac G6
I almost bought the coupe, but it was a little too pricey and they weren't willing to come down. The 6 speed manual was sloshy, but overall, a great car in coupe form with a GREAT deal of future potential, especially that convertible.



Mazda MX-5
Don't bend over while you're thinking of picking up a Miata, I assure you, just because it looks like a bar of soap, doesn't mean it is. I think it's hideous as hell and awkwardly small compared to the Solstice and Sky, but I hear the interior quality and fun-to-drive factor are out of the roof compared to the GM competitors.

lol, the sky. That things ugly as f*ck! Id never drive one. They look fast, but their 0-60 is about the same as my LX. Not to mention the lack of a power roof. And GM reliability. I hope it fails like all other saturns.

Well I'm sure I'm going to earn one more point towards going to automotive hell when I die but I think this is, by far, the sexiest thing that Saturn has ever even thought of creating.

I've seen it in person and it's a pretty hot car. Just loose that crappy Saturn emblem and it's a go. Wait, how many recycled soda bottles are in the doors and fenders?

The solstice looks like it wasn't done baking before they took it out. Sort of fetal IMO.

The Caliber is AWFUL. I can't shout it loud enough. It makes me gag. Every time I see one I have to fight the urge to drive heave. It doesn't suprise me that Dodge cut corners on it. There known for it.

The Miata is only good for video games.
The Audi is a glorified VW. I say this being someone whom used to adore Audi and VWs and wish they'd return to their former glory.
The VW Jetta is a Coed's dream car. I can't look at one with out seeing sorority stickers and pink fairies or butterflies around here. Too many colleges to count.
The Yaris is an alien.
The Solara is the Civics older Aunt Dorothy. Whom is sister to the...
Camry If I lived in a retirement community and played Bridge and Bingo I'd buy one.

I still don't understand why people don't like the Miata's exterior body. Miata's have ALWAYS sported a similar shape! I guess it's because they straightened out the lines, whereas the previous years...they actually added some curves and such.

I agree, however that's not saying too much considering Saturn has never had ANYTHING that can qualify as sexy! I do think it looks pretty good though.

Those are by far the gayest cars out next to the pontiac asstech,pt loser,chevy hhr,ssr,chevy crapaliers,dodges. The new Opel GT is better then the saturn sky.

I agree about the Opel GT but good luck enjoying that car here. We miss out on a lot of cool cars.

I love saturn sky but u no what i found funny? most guys in this catagory are usuallu into fashion. so how the hell can u drive one of these ugly cars dressed so nice. lolol. I have a few ***/bi buds and they wouldnt be caught dead granted they are masculine. maybe feminine guys drive? idk. I love the A3 as well.

That Saturn Sky is so damn sexy its scary. I can't believe the General is responsible for that sweet thang. Poor Pontiac G6 for being on that list. What a horrible list to be on,(referring to trannies). I think the G6 and the G6 coupe are better looking than anything Honda or Toyota have. Too bad the interior sucks.
