SI Mileage

I got 34 MPG and around 330 miles on a tank. It wasn't even empty. I traveled mostly highway and had about 50-60 in town miles on the tank. I think it is excellent. Any other experiences??? What is the max Mileage or miles you have gotten on a tank?

This is also my first fill up at the gas station. I just got the car!

I've pushed a little 300 with 60% Highway...but that wasn't fun, always shifting at 3K. The roads around the house to the freeway gets pretty bad with stoplights, because if you hit one, you hit all of them...so there's almost no way to make a smooth drive to the onramp.

However, I do average 250-270 if I just drive to work and back. That's 50/50 tanks on highway/city.

The first time I filled up I got 32 to the gallon...never going much above 3k rpm's. Now that the break in is over and the vtec owns me my mileage aint so great anymore...

Break In = Bah Humbug.... I have had my car about a week now and I don't pu$$yfoot my car. I shift around 5-6k and have had it in the Vtec range which really does make a difference. My dealer told me these cars like to be revved and with all those new type of cars that the tollerances are a lot tighter than the loose engines of yesteryears where the seals had to seat and they had to wear in. These days they have protective coatings and the seals are no longer an issue. Okay, don't red line it every time but you can easily take it to 5 or 6k without any problems. And if there is one, I have a 6 year 72000 Mile bumper to bumper warranty which should cover any issues.
So far this is one of the smoothest normally aspirated 4 cylinder engines I have ever driven. The engine purrs like a kitten and the tranny shifts like silicone butter. I am very happy with the Si. It could have a bit more headroom to better fit a 6'3" person but that is about my only gripe.
And the psrg seat should be height adjustable as well because when I get in the psrg side I really bump my head.

I do 50-50 city/freeway driving, and depending how much I floor it, I get anywhere between 27-32mpg. Usually it's around 29mpg. But the "freeway" miles are morning commute miles where it's constantly stop and go--so it's more like 80% city 20% freeway.

When I'm in conservative mode, I shift at around 2k RPM. In 6th gear by 30-35mph. Rarely use brakes, don't use AC. If I were to go all freeway it'd probably be 34-35mpg.
