Even tho the build quality sucks, you have to remember that its just a civic. Look at the older gen civics... They're all crap! (besides the engines and the looks) Civics are a cheap form of transportation, if you want quality, then buy an Accord. Honda did the best they could to keep the price down on the civics. Sure the quality sucks, but if I keep the music loud enough, I can't hear the rattles! Oh by the way, I've got 18K on my 07 SI and i've had no problems with it what so ever. AC is colder then my EX's, and since i've switched to Amsoil Tranny fluid at 2,000 miles, I've had no problems with the tranny... and I drive it HARD |

I have no plans to get rid of my FA5 - I like it more now than I did when I bought it back in January '07. I bought my car outright and I could have bought just about anything I wanted at the time. But the Si sedan provided everything I wanted in a car: practical, economical, reliable, decent performance, great handling (especially with the HFP suspension), and hella fun to drive.
I drove some other "nicer" cars before I bought the Si, but ultimately, I just love the Si package and I love the way the car feels so connected to the road. I consider the handling and road feel of a car to be an important safety feature because in bigger heavier cars that have those posh, floaty suspensions, I just don't feel as confident about how the car will respond in different situations. The Si is a very tossable car and very predictable and I feel very confident in it. Sometimes I wish I had more power, but realistically speaking, I can't legally use the power the Si has very often (I've already earned one ticket...dang motorcycle cop...lol). With gas prices where they are right now, I'm very happy with my Si which averaged 28.5mpg over my last 10 tanks of gas (and I drive it pretty aggressively most of the time). Anyway, I'll definitely be hanging on to my Si for the foreseeable future...at least until the Type R makes it to the U.S. ;-) |

To be honest, yes, I am tired. I loved my car but I got bored with it. I'm ready for something that I think has a bit more of my personality in it. Plus a lot of us who are jumping ship have had these cars since they first started rolling off the trucks back in early '06.
