2006 Comptech SC Civic Si Production Model
As you all know there was one thread that straight went to crap because of flames from retarded people demanding what they want. AS for Dyno's i havent receieved them yet. Believe me i asked, its my car ofcourse i want them! Last time i went i got late notice to pick the car up so no time. As for now i have pics.. plenty of pics from when i got the car to where it is now. THIS IS NOT 56k Friendly. No flames or i will have the thread locked.
CAR IS AVERAGING 26+ MPG On normal daily city driving. that includes some freeway and ofcourse some hot rodding as well.. Sc kit is said to run $3995- Type S price Sway bar $ un known not released to me Springs are up and for sale on comptechs page( BUY THE CAMBER KIT) camber kit above intake is in production as we speak. Last i heard it was in clean plastic as a prototype to check fitment before production. Expect at the most 8whp because of the mass air flow sensor even AEM CAI only picked up 7-8 whp. short shifter works great and is on the market as we speak for i believe $69. I dont have any pictures of the install because comptech did everything. If you want to see the pics of the installs, buy the product, my cars the one they are putting all your parts on :). Stage 3 should pretty much be ready to rock and roll. involves pulley and injectors. MODS TO MY Si. Comptech short shifter- Nice short throw and a very fair price. Very smooth shift. Comptech 2.5 catback exhaust( stainless)- Deep low tone. around 5 whp just exhaust. very nice agressive growl with SC. I dont know what it sounds like with just vtec. Comptech shorty header(stainless)- about 5-8whp since new one was made. very clean lines. Explained as hard to beat honda's stock products now because they are really working with these types of items. (race headers being re-worked. expecting 15whp alone as what the type s rsx pulled) Comptech sway bar- Gloss black(other colors unknown), very sturdy non adjustable. Comptech springs- about a 1 inch to 1.3 in drop. Very nice stance and awesome handling. Ride is smooth as stock and body roll minimized with sway bar and spring combo. Comptech Supercharger- clean as all of you know from previous. roots type SC pushin 4-6psi. around 50whp with stage one bolt on kit. Dyno's will run anywhere from 230-240 whp just sc kit.(recomended to use intake, header and exhaust with SC kit. Comptech reflsh- This reflash is done by hondata. made for their supercharger it pulls like a bat out of hell with this. highly recomended. i dont have dyno sheets on this but from other hondata alone dynos i have seen 20-30whp in certain rpm ranges. 1/4 Mile Slips...GO TO PAGE 6 or 7 FOR MORE INFO on the runs! **UPDATE 10-17-2006** HONDATA! if you have had a problem with ur si BEFORE hondata with surging throttle in 1st gear and/or rev hang when u rev ur motor it stays for a few seconds you must go to hondata's web page and send in your ecu for correction. handa figured out the problem and now reflashes at dealers BUT it will erase ur supercharger data so u MUST return it to hondata. its $75 which basically just covers the shipping both ways quick ship. IF YOU DO NOT have a S/C and have this problem and DO NOT have hondata you must go to a honda dealer and have them reflash ur ecu. IF YOU HAVE ANY TYPE OF REFLASH FROM HONDATA AND NO S/C the same applies please send to hondata to fix. **UPDATE 10-17-1006** i talked to hondata and they mentioned they were at comptech last week testing other pulleys for the supercharger. currently hondata is NOT ready for a PSI change in the pulley at this moment. I called comptech and they did confirm this. I will contact the tech when he gets back from vacation about this. There may be one pulley set or maybe 2. They have tested one a long time ago on the pre production Si that put down alot of HP. numbers are floating around and he said DO NOT QOUTE ME ON THIS! but there may be another 80hp. So not sure whats goig on its all in the works but they are working hard on the S/C for the honda fit(LOL SICK!) at this time. I told him to make a mid size pulley because alot of people aren't going to want to keep the big pulley on for; gas will suck, alot of pressure on the motor. deifantley 300whp if it went that way though. a mid size pulley may still need their injector kit but i would guess 8psi which would be PERFECT! i hope they do that cause i will get it! ***UPDATE 10/31*** NEW PICS!!! NEW WHEELS AND TIRES!!! Got my new wheels.! black on black baby ***UPDATE 2/18/2007*** So new additions have been added to the car since the last time i have posted. New mods/changes: Fujita shortram, Brisk racing spark plugs(Lamborghini edition for S/C and Turbo.), amsoil racing oil 20w-50, amsoild racing oil filter, amsoil syncromesh, water wetter. I will be adding a A/F guage, boost guage, and a wide band A/F O2 so i can hit up the dyno soon. I will also be having a custom cat delete onto the shorty header for testing sometime soon. Also will be looking forward for the CAI since the summer will be coming up. im hoping to be putting down 240WHP before the tune, or cat delete. seems very possible by the way the intake has reacted with the S/C. Comptech has mentioned possibly completing a stage 2 before hondata is even ready, update when i hear. also alot more pics of the car i think i will make a pic post only of a ton of photo's. ![]() ![]() When she was new ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Comptech Supercharged ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() NEW PICS!! I'm so jealous I could spit. Really.
Man, too bad my car wasn't taken in for the R&D for the SC. It'd be sweet to have that little bit of "oomph" on tap. Clean install, and love the cover for the thing...everybit at super-professional as I'd expect. Then again...I think I'm sticking with NA.

I already have a thread on all of this but just to clear things up for everyone who hasnt seen it.
The car is very fast. AS some would say, "traction will suck" Wrong. That LSD whips some major ass. First gear you have to play some with the throttle but after that its game time. Maybe a chirp but you are gone. Dyno stock was 182WHP. SC kit was 235WHP. I didnt have time to see the dyno with all the parts added cause i had to run to work. Suspesion parts (springs, camber kit, sway bar.) work AWESOME! still smooth as factory but pretty much no body roll and rails the corners. I ran a 98 cobra into the dirt with it and a C6 corvette (2005) pulled on me from a 5mph roll. But when we were in 3rd, my front tire was still at his rear 1/4 panel. If you can hit a 2.0 60 ft, i wouldnt be surprised to see a low 13. Just the tires arent that great stock. That LSD helps out alot though. I fell in love with the power. The top end is crazy. I pull to 130mph easy. Before with just the SC i can hit 130 pretty fast anyway and 6th would still fall on its face. Not surprising though because its not made for that. With hondata it pulls to 130 pretty damn fast but i didnt have room to touch 6th. Probably the same thing though. I will run it at the track a few time and see what i can do. Its going to be hot as balls but thats ok because then you get to see at the hotest temp what kind of power you have and you'll know when its cooler out, you are going faster. |

235 whp with just the SC...that's wonderful. i'm assuming with a CAI, race header, exhaust + reflash added to the package you can expect anoth 25+ whp in certain areas over the rpm range and probably hit about 250 + top end. being conservative cuz i have no idea what the reflash is worth performance wise with his mods on our cars...all that for a stage 1 kit though...damn!! nice to see u finally come around to posting the pics and the info. thanks a lot. i think the supercharger would look better on my black than yours though.... ...cars are setup pretty much the same except for the rims...good looking.i'll be on it as soon as it's out...yes i said it...so if u want my turbo setup then it'll probably be for sale...hmmm maybe. thanks again. looking fwd to seeing ur track times... oh and go take them stock evo's out now.

oh and get some michelin pilot sport 2(PS2)...to hell with all the others...unless u want a street legal drag radial like the nitto NT 555R.
Michelin PS2 all the way...no compromise...wet/dry...errhem errhem hole in ur pocket @ 200 for 1 tire...more than worth it...i have about 9000 hard miles on mine including some drag strip time...i'm not showing signs of wear like u would expect... Stock tire for Bugatti Veyron + Bentley coupe GT....need i say more? get the best for ur beast...

I actually have a stock intake on there. I dont have anything aftermarket for that. See some parts react different with eachother. Throw on only a catback and u get crap for your money. A shorty header too and ur doing alright. but a race header and a cat back is a whole other story then even just a race header. depends on the catback too. Just how the vaccum and flow of the motor works. But yes if i dont get their intake i will probably just add a drop in filter for $40. The way i see it, id rather get 4 or 5 whp from a filter then spend $200-$300 on a CAI for 8 WHP. I have run the car with the bottom of the box off. For fun i zip tied the filter to it like they use to do with all the autocross cars in stock classes. Its a difference u see ESPECIALLY with the SC. PLus that Bi&$@! is screamin and people when u tap the throttle. Nothing funner then hearing 2 mustangs rev at a light at eachother and u sneak up in the rear and let um have it and WOOOT! gets their heads turning :)
AS for other tires i would love to, but i would rather spend that money on my M4 carbine :) down the road i will probably get some wheels and tires if i do that to rotate them off. Thats what i want to do with my crx too. You know, its still sad to say my $40k investment Civic SI will still gets its ass beat by my N/A Gsr crx in every field... Ohwell atleast i own them both... |

Eh, go with Hoosier drag radials on either the base RSX wheels (not the Type-S) or Motegi Tracklite's in a 17" setup. I think they're about 14.2lbs or so. I guarantee you would've ran that C6 down.... By the way, I'm guessing with the reflash done, they'll be packaging this soon. I'd say at least another month and a half or so, probably sooner. But most of this stuff should be available by mid-August or earlier. Should be a nice back-to-school gift to myself. hehe.... |
