Supercharged People...Trap Speeds?

Hey guys I ran my car for the first time with my supercharger last night and I feel like my trap speeds were a little low. I am going to the dyno in 30 minutes to see what my whp is. I am afraid my TSX cams might me too aggressive and I might be losing boost. Anyone have any ideas? What trap speeds are other supercharged guys getting? Please help!

have no runs yet to compare, but i think your semi-tuned f/i plus your untuned cams are cruisin for a brusin.

Trap speed was 100. Only got like two runs in on stock tires and got a 14.1, the best at this track before was a 14.7, i def could have done better with a few more runs. My AFRs are fine. Dynoed at 241whp but i was only at 197whp before so the gain is about right. I just expected the trap to be a little faster.

Sounds like those cams are hurting your numbers. Most that have the S/C with i/h/e are dynoing in the 250-255 whp range.

Didn't you say when you did your N/A dyno that your run was on a Mustang dyno??? If so, that would explain why his runs are alot lower than everybody elses. I don't know why everybody gets so concerned over numbers from a dyno, they prove nothing because they all read different. I like his topic better, what kind of traps and ETs are the other supercharged people running...

Yeah I really don't think the cams are hurting anything. My AFRs are fine and I gained 45whp which sounds about right to me. A lot of the guys with 250-260 dynoed with bolt ons at like 205 which was 8whp more than I was with bolt ons. I really do think the dyno i go to reads low over all but like ^ said trap speeds are what really interests me.

my best trap was at 105 i believe but i couldn't hook up in first or second at all. I think you should definitely be alot higher than 100 mph.

when you spin on street tire you end up with higher traps

This track is a very slow crappy track. It had also been raining all day. Like I said the fastest time I had run at that track before was 14.7 at 96 I think. I would have gotten a better time eventually but it started raining. Also remember I was on stock Michelins and still managed a 2.1 60".

.6 gain on a bad weather day at the track is not bad. Get some better tires and go back on a nice day.... with practice I suspect you will get mid to low 13s easy.

I think you need a real tune. The reflash you have is a very conservative tune for cars with otherwise stock engines. I think you're not taking advantage (perhaps even losing power) of the cams because you don't have a real tune.
