hey looks like a great build...only thing is it seems like its as fast as the Si..so why not just buy the Si with all of the money that you put into this thing, i guess reliability isnt a big concern for you?

So you are saying that a turbo car does not have reliability? i think you need to research on how a turbo works.. if you have a good kit and a good tune, the car can be just as reliable as stock..

IMO f/i r18 vs stock k20swap even if it were a super conservative tune putting up the same numbers as the si, the r18 takes the win for more fun to drive and better gas milege overall granted you can keep your cool outta boost great setup and looks good. cant wait for more vids.

^^in a strait line it would be more fun to drive, because its faster. But the fun to drive factor of the SI is more of a good handling, and high reving aspect, definatly not the strait line power.

Lets not forget that the dx / lx are almost 200lbs lighter than an si. Plus having almost 200ft/tq = si dead in the water, and this is coming from an si owner. Awesome build dude I wish you the absolute best of luck with it.

yes i am saying that more or less. Turbo cars from the factory have more reliability than after market turbos any day. even then the factory turboed cars are in the shop a lot more than the n/a car is. a MAJORITY of the time a turboed car has less reliability from what i have experienced. and yes ive owned both n/a and f/i cars

many things depend on how you use the car, if you can't stay off boost then what do you expect, and thats with any car.. but i respect boost and i know not to abuse of it and i know things will be like driving an N/A car..

I am totally down it what you said. For example if you buy a high performance car (lets say a Ferrari F430). If you were to constantly drive it everyday like a daily driver and always go WOT, I guarantee that it will not last. ITS ALL IN HOW YOU DRIVE! So my friend if you take it easy you will have a great econo car with juice when you need it. Great work brosef.

Well guys my fun din't last to long, today i was trying to get a drive by video for you guys, and while i was doing 80mph i shifted to 4th gear and i misshifted and then i put it into 4th gear, but after it did the car was only able to rev but i was not moving any faster, and the check engine light started flashing.. this can only mean bad things.. a missfire more than likely.. i slow down and the car still drove but it feels like its is driving on one cylinder.. am glad i got me back to the house, as soon as i got back to my house i open the hood and everything seems normal.. so i disconnected the battery, am going to go back and connect it back in 15 minutes and see if the car turns on and what it does..

If this is something bad, i can do one of two things.., rebuild the engine with better parts or sell the turbo kit and buy another R18 engine and forget about going fast.. or i what will it take to get an engine from an Si and put it on there?

What do you guys think of all this? am guessing it was my fault because i was driving the car hard, but everything seem normal until that happen, and now the car while it idles the Air/Fuel ration stays on 10.00 to lean..

are you saying you misshifted? What do you mean it didnt go into gear. If you over revved that might just be what caused it. anyways, keep us updated after you reset the ECU. good luck to you.

Geez sounds bad, 80mph in third gear then changing into 4th gear and it didn't go in, but how far did u rev it past red line when the car was in neutral ? I think it sounds like u need to rebuild the engine... good luck and update us !!!

You can call it a misshift.. but my revs did not go to redline.. since i was in neutral giving it has at around 80mph when the check engine light started flashing..

I feel like an idiot, i have the video of how it happe, you see me coming towards the camera about 1/4mile away and then you see the car starts to lose speed and then i drive pass the camera going 15mph lol, you guys should see my face lol.. i was piss.
