Greddy Boost/RPM questons

I am using a Greddy kit and am running a home made 3" down pipe and exhaust.. and a home made bigger frount mount... I am hitting 7/8 PSI around 5800RPM... I just wanteed to know if everyone else is comming into boost as early as I am.. Past 6300K its on the wastgate... I just wanted to know if thats normal? It just seems like the Turbo is to small... I am making good power... 260-80 depending on dynos... but like I said.. it spools up super early...once I did the exhaust and no cat down pipe it feels like a way to small of a turbo... before the mods it was not as bad....now it feels like the old 1.8T VW motors...any thoughts?

5800RPM is not early...that seems rather late for full boost, especially with that size turbo.

mines kick in about 35k to 4k

you shold hit full boost around 3.5k. What brand boost gauge are you using? Awsome hp numbers Im running 11psi and and your +20hp above me.

The car should spool up quicker if you modded your downpipe to a 3inch.
