oil return

ok i'm putting on a oil sandwich adapter for my oil gauges and i figure with all the oil out i might as well take the return line out of the oil drain plug and set it up a few inches. But i'm short on time so anyone know how long it will take or should i just not worry about it. Whats the downside to leaving it in the oil drain and how much would a shop charge (i only have 1 jack and no garage) windy day too =/ well basically any info on oil return and the oil pan would be great XD

The oil drain plug is level, the best oil return would be at an angle upward So that it continues to drain when the car is cornering or on inclines.

Also, I'd spend the extra cost it may be to get electrical oil gauges instead of mechanical. Even with isolators I don't particularly like oil near my dash or wiring.

5w-30 is the right oil for the Si he is thinking of the R18 Civics that use 5w-20. That guy is mistaken.

you might want to wait for other response but from what I heard since the pressure is high where the oil filter connects it would hinder the oil from returning.
