Wow, seems lots of people are still having problems tuning their cars, i've finally found out that the boomslang harness doesn't work for me as the US civic and the civic i have here in china have different wiring. That's what is causing my check engine light to come on coz it's not sending the signal to the camshaft position sensor so it's putting my car into limp mode. I'm now in hong kong and contacted a tuner here that says he can fix my problem so all my fingers are crossed. Also bought lots of new defi gauges(exhaust temp/boost/fuel pressure), defi controller, defi desplay unit, profec B boost controller and a Turbo Timer. My car should be tuned by the 15th of May so will update everyone then, and upload pictures and some videos !!!

The tuner will be comming over to help me fix all my small problems, he will be around from the 11th - 15th of May to install all my new gauges and 2-3 days of tuning to make sure the car is running right, gonna use the profec B boost controller to keep the car on low boost for daily driving (6psi) and (10psi for high boost). well that's the plan anyways but we'll see what the tuner thinks the stock car engine can handle reliabily... The Electronic boost controller will also help to prevent boost spiking...

Will update you all more soon...

Okies, today we are going to install all the defi gauges, electronic boost controller and the car should be drivable tonight so we'll be doing some tuning on the highway (we don't have a dyno tune where im from...)

Today we spent the whole day checking why the engine light was on, we had to go thru the whole wire system and it seems the us version civic and the china version have the same wiring. Number 31 wire on the green boomslang harness that connects to the ECU was not wired correctly, we check the wire and there was no signal so we opened the harness and took the wire out and saw that it wasn't even cut and wired into the harness. The boomslang harness was supposed to save us alot of time but at the end it made us use more time as we kept thinging the harness couldn't be wrong. I have emailed TSI about this and see what they will do about this !!!

Tomorrow will be spent tuning the car now we can finally got all the wiring problem and check engine light fixed !!!

Today i will be install the rest of the defi gauges and the profec B boost controller. I will post some pictures up and also also get some vids of us tuning the car.

As you can see there is a small defect with the kit as the turbodown pipe is very close to the frame, i will see what i can do to try solve this and post more pictures up...

This is a cat-back exhaust 63mm...

The boss of fueltank which is a car modification company in hong kong. Their website is Fuel Tank Racing Co. and they have tuned many race cars in hong kong and china.

Was testing the car today, felt great no check engine light or nothing, just doing some minor tuning till the 15th then he leaves so that should be plenty of time to fix everything !!!

Been enjoying the boost !!! atm just running around 6psi, but i got the profec B Boost controller, so i'll be driving around daily at 6psi, and have the high boost at 8-10 psi depending on what my tuner thinks is safe...

Will post up some pics and vids around the 16th for you all to enjoy !!!

I know the Haltech units have control of the Radiator fan systems and such. Have you checked to see if the AEM is configured to control the cooling system? Short in the wiring preventing the signal to the cooling system to the stock ECU? Couple of things you could check on.

My tuner is fimilar with the emanage but he feels that the AEM FIC is better for tuning. I don't know much about tuning so i can't tell the difference and i've never used the emanage but so far tuning the AEM FIC i have no complaints and its very easy to use...
