TSI Turbo Kit For SI....Anyone???

I was browsing for Turbo kits and came across TSI. I was aware they made one for the R18 but not for the SI. At first glance, compared to greddy, it seemed to offer a whole lot more in terms of an actual "kit". It comes with about twice the extras as the Greddy kit does and produces more power according to the site on less PSI(6psi/6.4psi with greddy). I know all of this is tunable and the greddy kit is known for reliability, but does anyone have any data or experience with the TSI kit? It looks to be promising. the site i went to is......Turbo-Kits.com 06, 07, 08, 09 Honda Civic, LX, EX, SI, Turbo Kits. Input would be nice along with experiences, if any.

Yeah I checked it out and the TSI kit looks way better than greddy, on paper. I emailed my local shop, who does work on my car to see what they think. if this comes out good, I'll be getting the TSI kit this summer.

Any more input guys? someone has to have tried this. It has more goodies and makes more power than the Greddy kit on lower psi for the same price!

wow thats funny i was looking at them as well... and i thought the same thing that they looked promising but something about fuel problems but i think they fixed it though... i dont know you can always up the boost and i think the greddy you can only do up 2 320 or something like that

The only visible downside seems to come back to tuning with this kit. Im not so confident in the AEM FI-C and having read my fair share of threads about tuning options for the 8th Gen SI most people on this forum aren't crazy about the unit either.

^^ yeah I figured that the tuning would be problematic. But how about swapping some questionable components for better ones?? That should help theoretically shouldn't it? Cus its the same price but with a bit more baggage. It seems like it gives you more stuff to run it correctly but with lesser value.

The E-manage that comes with the greddy kit isn't that great either, and i cant imagine why it would be so much better than the AEM FI-C. We need someone who has the TSI kit running properly to come on here and show us. It would be great if TSI actually had a thread here to update potential customers on its progress. Until then, greddy is the better choice based on the experience of the current Greddy owners.

well i was reading that one of the r18 guys wasnt doing too bad at tuning it i guess. but then again for this kit i think it has potential to grow if ya want to and also get kpro if and when it comes out i think would work perfect

^^^ I see. I would question their reliability too. sounds too good to be true. Im leaning towards a used greddy kit w/ extras. there's a lot sold on here if you can find em at the right time. plus its cheaper

the only thing that caught my eye was the Garrett GT28R ball bearing turbo, that is itself is so much better than the greddy mitsubishi turbo..

^^ that is very true. but the entire kit is questionable for its reliability. if only mitsubishi used Garrets..
