In the middle of installation CT supercharger question (regarding tensioner)

Hi all,

I'm in the middle of installing my supercharger kit and may have made a boo boo. I accidentally loosed the nut on the tensioner and was wondering what the repercussions from doing so were. Could somebody inform me on what, if anything, I need to do to remedy the potential problems from doing so? Is there some sort of repair I need to perform on the tensioner itself?

Also, how in the world did you guys, who have installed the supercharger, get the lower left bolt on the "idler plate" tightened? I can't figure out what tool will do the job as there's such little space to work. (I also can't wait for the belt install as that should be fun.)

Thanks in advance for the help,

Jason

I should have expanded, sorry. The nut that lost the torque is the nut on the back of the tensioner pulley itself. Basically, I suppose I loosened the bolt too much as the I could hear the spring "pop". When I look at the indicators found on the back side of the tensioner, they no longer line up. Unfortunately, I have yet to purchase a Helm manual for this car, but I assume the indicators would and should line up.

Thanks

Best thing you can do for yourself. It has come in handy so much. If you need tourque specs still or what not but im guessing you got it done.

if you released the spring in the tensioner your going to have to compress it and tighten it. if that doesnt work your probably going to have to get a new tensioner. your not supposed to mess with the spring.
