looking for a boost controller
I'm just looking for a decent one, nothing too expensive but still nice. Also how do you hook these up to your turbo, do you just hook them up to the vac line and it makes the changes from there or what? Thanks in advance for the input

If you want cheap.. get a manual boost controller. The AEM Truboost is one of the cheaper eletronic controllers on the market. Get a wideband too.

Sure.. but remember things conditions can change rapidly and with you spending all that money on boosting why would you concern not spending money on a wideband.

I guess your right I mean I've already spent a lot on this turbo(as I expected) but I'm trying to figure out if the wideband is really worth the price difference between the narrowband, like $125. I know it is far more accurate but if my tune is good then why would I need a exact number when I can know whether or not is lean, normal, or rich. I don't know yet, damn why does fun stuff cost money?!

Manual boost controller will more than likely be your best bet as they tend to hold the boost better than electronics. You're really only going to need a wideband if you plan on tuning things yourself.
If you go and have your car tuned, then the standard gauges (boost, oil temp, oil pressure) will give you enough readings. Hallman boost controllers work out really nicely, that's what I ran on my Evo |

manual controllers cant control boost based on ambient factors such as humidity and most importantly temperature changes every time it gets colder especially at night you'll have spikes. narrow bands are design to read most accurately around 14.7:1 ratio anything beyond that they have little to no accuracy PERIOD

Aem TRU BOOST any good?
I am looking for a relatively cheap electronic boost controller and it seems that aem one is the least exspensive. Anyone have this and can tell me what the features are. Does it have setting for boost delay in the rpm range and low boost in the lower gears for optimal wheel traction. I am also looking for 2 boost settings, one for high and one for low boost for daily driving.
