Jackson or CT S/C?

Have the funds for both but really dont want to have to do the wait for CT S/C. Anyone have pros & cons of Moss Motors Jackson Racing S/C roots style?

they both use the eaton supercharger design...really no difference except how the JR sits more flat than how the ct sits at a slight angle. imo...go with which is cheaper...unless you can't get the reflash with the jrsc...then go with the ct

well...that's complicated...Moss motorsports took over the roots style...they keep the jrsc name on it.

Oscar is making the rotorex style

the jackson/moss requiers modifing (hacking up) your engine compartment for fitment. it also uses the Vishnu piggy back which has mixed reviews. the Ct-enigineering kit (Comptech) is a direct bolt on except for the fpr mod and comes with a flashed ecu by hondata. im happy with my CT except for the fact that im a little lean and i cant tune

stay away from the Moss/Jackson kit. Its not worth the trouble and time to grind out parts of your engine to make the manifold fit and hack up your wiring harness for the vishnu piggy back.

Comptech FTW.

well with those two comments...definitely go with CT. That explains why CTSC is at a slight angle to avoid hacking the engine bay.

Myself and my buddy have gotten pretty good at grinding after do a flush OEM style tsx retrofit. Hard choice. I want a CT but 3-4 months is brutal.

Look at the other thread. Jackson is coming out with a Rotrex this fall for a rumored 3k or less. I suspect when this thing hits the market Comptech will be forced to lower prices so you win either way. If it was me, I would definitely wait for the Jackson, at least until they release some hp and $ numbers.

The power numbers seem to be in JR favor and it's a little cheapier. Yes you have to grind and hack the ECU but hey it beats waiting 3 to 4 months to pay more for comptech and then waining again for a reflash chip. On the moss webb site they have dynos, photos, faq, and the full intstruction manual. Comptech can't even get their web site working. Why should I give them my money to site on for months, and months and months...

The Comptech setup is a better setup. The Jackson requires some modification that most ppl don't want to do. As was mentioned the only con is the crushed FPR.

If you need a Comptech kit we have a number coming in. $3599 shipped

^ that is if you are speaking of the current set up. I suspect that the Rotrex will have a different manifold as Jackson will have plenty of time to improve that aspect of their design. If they don't then they won't find to many takers and yes the Comptech design will continue to be the most user friendly.

the rotrex unit is made by KraftWerks(oscar jackson+ skunk2). the jrsc is made by moss, they are still using oscar jackson's name on their units. oscar and skunk2 formed a new company. Kraftwerks Home
