NX vs. ZEX 75 Wet Shot Dyno Proof NX MADE 235.8 FtLb@ 3900-4500 RPM!

The below dyno shows my Zex kit against my NX kit.

I started with the Zex 75 Shot Wet Kit. After being tired of no traction I bought a FJO Progressive Controller. When Carter Racing told me that they called Zex and Zex said that thier solinoids couldnt handle the pulsing that the FJO produces they told me to get NX witch I did. So My current set up is a ZEX Bottle and lines, NX Solenoids, FJO Progressive controler, Dyno Tune Bottle heater, Zex Purdge kit, Zex Blow Down, Custom Switches, Zex Bottle opener. 2 Step colder NGK Plugs. I was running one step colder with the ZEX and begun with 1 step colder with the NX until CR found saw that the plugs were running too hot by the way the had discoloration too far up the plug. So i had my friend run me up a set of 2 steps and I was good to go. With it all said and done see the difference below. The Solid blue is NX HP and the broken blue is the NX Torque. Solid red is Zex HP, Broken red is Zex TQ. We ran a step larger on the fuel jet with the NX then with the ZEX to be on the safe side. It was about 70 Degrees out at Sea Level. on a Dyno Dynamics using wheels speed to calc HP. In the end the NX kit made about 60 more Ftlb of tq then the zex did at 3800 rpm. Oh and i had the FJO set to come in at 3250rpm with 40% and ramp to 100% at 4000rmp.

I currently have NST Pulleys
DCRH,
Ti-C
Hondata,
IMG
TBS
TBGx2
Ingen SRI
Amsoil MTF
Amsoil 0w30 Full Synthetic
2 step Plugs NGK
Hamp Filter.

Those are the mods that would effect this thread!

wow i'm not really sure what the air/fuel should be with nitrous but to me that seems really rich, (which is good because it safe) correct me if i'm wrong but also since is was a dyno dynamics I have been told I think thats its a 17% decrease compared to a dynojet, so that should put you right at 300whp????

quick question. did you use the port on your TB spacer for the nozzle or did you tap your intake tube?

did you use the same stage spark plugs for both kits and same fuel jet for both kits when you did the comparison btw the two kits. or was this a comparison of how much you gained from the changed fuel jet w/ colder spark plugs?

the stupid tap on the TBS was on the far side so the nozzle wouldnt fit without hitting the engine or IM. So i bought a 4 ply silicone 90% and put it in the middle of that giving the nozzle more space to mix the fuel and nitrous but still in a straight like with the IM.

And yes the i have heard that the dyno dynamics make less power but are more accurate. That is all that i have at my disposal so i make due. I make 202.5hp NA on one too if that helps.

The nitrous Jet was the same for both setups, NX and Zex. I only upped the fuel jet to be richer on the safe side. The number one cylinder gets hot and likes to foul plugs. Plus the extra carbon build up will be burnt off by the nitrous so it evens out.

Ill take some and post them up tonight.
If u go on the ZEX websight they have a size to HP chart. I went up one size on the fuel jet so i ran rich just to be safe since there is no tuning right now.

I'm a little confused are you using NX or Zex Jets and Nozzle? I see the NX solenoid, but I dont see how just changing the solenoid would up your power... Can someone explain?
