280whp, 219tq, GReddy FTW

One guy in the ClubRSX forums did it with a custom manifold, K-Pro, bigger turbo and bigger injectors. Made like 336whp. Too expensive. Just buy a different turbo kit if you want over 280whp. It's just too expensive.

so is there a way to still use a BOV that vents to the atmosphere? and is there a way to bypass the MAS flow sensor? i really like the sound of BOV that vent to the atmosphere and nooblishly, thats one of the reasons i want a turbo instead of a supercharger.

I have a question, what other mods CAN you use with this kit?
It says you cannot use a RH, or CAI. Does this mean you cannot also use a SRI? I'm fairly new so hopefully you might have some recommendations. I'm about to mod my stock 08 Civic Si and was thinking of doing a turbo kit. The greddy seems promising, especially since I saw your video and I don't want to go above 300WHP. What were the steps you took in order to get your car ready for the jump to a turbo? Thanks |

Base Map
Password=8thcivic Unlocked base map for our whips. Disclaimer "This map is to be used at users own risk, by accepting this map we are not held responsible for any damage done to the vehicle after this map is installed, the reason for this is this is no longer considered our tuning at this point because of the ability to have the car retuned now. The map that is attached is identical to the map that comes with the kit but it not password protected so it gives the ability to have the car retuned, and we can not guarantee other peoples tuning which is why you do this at your own risk and will void any chances of GReddy being held responsible for damage due to tuning or over boosting." - Greddy If this is copyrighted material. Which I don't see how it is. I'll remove it... Last edited by escocrx; 04-06-2008 at 07:41 PM. Reason: changed url. updated pw. |

Neat thing my tuner did for me, which is really easy. Routed my LC-1 Wideband to the Option2 port of the emanage. For datalogging and tuning this is a great option. Very easy. Also can set A/F Target for autotuning.
Greddy Instructions for Harness Part used. 2 wire, hot/gnd Part Number 15900912 Note: Under the emanage software. Click the Parameter Settings(Lil Blue car) the Front Panel tab is where you select what your option ports are. If you do choose A/F you can select some preset types of Widebands they already have setup. Last edited by escocrx; 04-06-2008 at 11:17 AM. Reason: note added |

Haha yeah, sorry.
I was a little confused I guess. My friend was saying that he was going to put a CAI on his Stage 2 Dodge SRT 4 but I guess hes just confused because his english isn't the greatest And it was a good idea to look at the howstuffworks.com because clearly I was asking some noob questions. I really didnt know why you wouldnt want to use a RH but now I realize how stupid a question that is haha Back to the books for me! Although, my question still remains if someone can answer it. What do I do to prep for getting a turbo kit? Last edited by A970747; 04-06-2008 at 04:51 PM. |

That's sweet. I didn't know that the Emanage had a self tuning option that you can use with a wideband. That's Awesome. So you can just set a target AFR and the Emanage will tune on it's own. Will it set ignition timing and fuel together for optimum performance? Or does it just control fuel delivery for that target AFR? And also I downloaded that base map and it wouldn't open without a password. I'm about 1 to 2 weeks away from owning this kit and I'm trying to get all the info I can before I install it. So I can be ready to go from day 1. Thanks for your input escocrx and everyone alse. You all have been super helpful.

According to the primer on the emanage ultimate given on the Greddy website, the AFR based tuning method is used to make an 'injector base map' to speed up initial tuning. This doesn't mention any ignition timing adjustments and likely one would want to adjust timing independently to account for changes in the cam angle due to VTC and for the fuel map itself.
Looks like it just sets up your basic mixture, which would be handy if you want to make a new map for a different boost setting. Last edited by ryanmcm83; 04-06-2008 at 07:09 PM. |
