It works fine were its at.

You have to understand that electromagnetic waves emitted from a radar gun spread in all directions. You can put it totally out of site and it will still pick up radar waves.

Now laser on the other hand requires a direct line of site to be effective.

I was giving you shit man. I know, I spent 6 years as a radar technician. It's more effective when it isn't pointing at the sky, but yes it still works.

I always laugh when I see someone's radar detector just hangin' there.
