TSI R18 Turbo Installed First Update

I work at Idaho Speed Center and recently ordered the Turbo Specialties kit for the R18. My car is an automatic 06 civic ex. I installed the kit along with 2 people helping me. This is just an update letting everyone know whats going on with the project. We took pictures before, during, and after the install. Tomorrow I will be downloading new software to the fic for the ex and tuning it some more due to the elevation. The Boomslang harness is for the Si but fits directly from the ECU to the fic correctly and then needs new software. So far my car starts and the fic is thinking it is running the Si so is throwing all the numbers off and I can only only drive around with my rpms very low. The turbo turbo starts spooling up at 2000rpm and is not at a steady idle. I am pretty sure all this should be fixed with the new software tomorrow. My next post will be a big one with videos and lots of pictures and information on the whole deal of putting on and tuning Turbo Specialties kit with an automatic. It will also include problems we ran into, reccomendations for people who are planning on putting this kit on, and how kick ass it is with races and drive bys ect...

Nice. So what else did you need for the kit? And how much did all the parts needed cost? How hard was the install?

I really want to do this eventually.

Boomslang harness
boost gauge
turbo timer (optional)
couple things for mounting the intercooler ( I will expalin that in detail in my next thread)
The kit is pretty complete and I recommend getting the plug and play harness unless you want to hard wire everything which you could do but it a lot harder and is a time consuming process.
the harness is $300
the other things are all optional but I would suggest not being a bad idea
the install... was not that easy. It all really depends on if you have a lift and the right tools. My next thread will go into detail about the install. So far not a bad kit at all especially for the money. I just want to wait to see how it performs before I get too ahead of myself.

I know the stock black one had some damage done to it so that one is in for the time being. I don't mind it until I feel to put a new stock grill back on... least of my worries right now though. I am looking to upgrade from my 2 1/4 custom exhaust to 2 1/2 ....undecided on the exhaust system.

haha ya I know
really what mainly pushed me is the love for car performance in general
I got this car thinking great cruising car and then when things started popping up here and there for performance I was constantly interested. The best part is hands on working and results and working with what you have. So far, I am very proud of it and hope the next couple days turn out great.
