No, the 1.8 has less torque and a brake horsepower (meaning crank horsepower) of 127, meaning it's probably putting around 100 down at the wheels. This will crank it to 170 at the wheels and around 200 bhp. The Si has 197 bhp and about 170 whp stock, more torque, has i-VTEC, etc. The TSI turbo kit for the Si, even at 15 less whp (55 whp), gives it 252 bhp and around - going from stock numbers - about 215 whp or so.

It might be a "good match", but the Si will still beat it even with the 15 whp difference in the turbo kits.

It'll keep up with a bone stock Si, but the torque difference may not mean it will beat it. Keep up, yes; beat, eh, depends. That's still sick output for the R18 and I'm very impressed with the kit. I know a guy in PGH who's looking to buy it for his EX, so he'll be all over this thread.

r18's actually put down 140 bhp, so about 127whp.

The kit is claimed to make about 200whp with exhaust.

It would be a pain to find a new mounting position for the ecu so yes I went through the same thing. You should not have to worry too much about the wires getting pinched. I did not have too much trouble cutting and moving them out of the way. As long as you get the ecu back on the bracket, the harness stays in place and is not getting pinched in any way.
Can you explain what you cut? I'm going to be installing my F/IC this weekend, and have been wondering in my head how the hell it's going to fit.

Do you have a better shot of the ECU area? Which firewall hole did you use? Where did you mount the F/IC in the car?

have to cut the solid plastic part of the harness between the right and middle connectors (as they connect to the ecu).

Yeah, what firewall hole? I can only find one that will fit the cable, and it's the main cable pass-through

The harness runs into the car on the drivers side and there is a hole next to the gas pedal that runs through to the passenger side. Once I am done tuning, I think there might be enough room to let the fic sit in that hole.

Yeah, what brand?

I'm about 99% fixed on the AEM Tru Boost and UEGO wideband gauges.
Probably going to put them in that slot right next to the aux jack.
