what u talkin about man b16 is smaller engine and there are ones with 250-300 hp no problem, afcoarse might have to upgrade some internals but the block should be good for up to 300. Its just like any other engine you can have all kinds of horsepower it depends how much you punch it and how you drive it.

New update on my auto r18. So I moved to katy texas with my car not tuned 1900 miles to go to the tuner school. I disconnected my actuater rod so I would not make any boost and it struggled its way down here... dies at idle, hesitant around mid throttle ect. Anyways I went to midas today and they let me put my car on a four post and I got under it and reconnected my rod so I am back to making 8 pounds and my car runs a lot better down here surprisingly under boost. Its still having minor issues at idle and mid throttle but I am taking it in Thursday to Fast Lanes, a performance shop in north Houston and they are putting it on the dyno and tuning it at 10AM. I have been trying not to drive it hard until it is fully tuned, then I will really get on it, but just today starting out off a light breaking my tires loose was an amazing feeling. My car is spooling really loud which is a beautiful sound and holding steady at 8psi. I will keep everyone updated thurs afternoon and probably have some whp #'s. Also.... if anyone in the houston area wants to compare their car to a turboed 06 ex auto pretty soon let me know. I have been here for 3 days.

Nice to hear your car is doing better down there, once you get it tune right you will love it.
Make sure to post a dyno graph of your numbers once it is tune. My dyno graph looks great, the power and torque lines go up steady at the same or similar rate, just like a stock car. I am also boosting 8psi and the car holds the boost all the way until redline, as soon as i get my intake manifold, i will start boosting 10psi. to be around 235whp. the intake manifold should give us about 20whp on a tune. lol i know people will jump all over me for saying this but i dont care.
you just spent all that money now and you might not even be able to keep up with an si..... shoulda traded her in when you still had the chance huh? lol..... its totally cool that you did this and all.... but kinda a waste of a few grand if you think about it. even after a turbo you cant keep up with much. im not trying to be mean, although i know i am, i just dont think it was a wise investment. especially on an auto tranny.... |

Some people are making more power than an Si and more torque. I know I am. And some of us, depending on the deals we got, still paid less than some people with their Si's. So I think it was a good move. Sure there's more parts to work with when you have the Si, but things will change over time for the R18. Like Blackended Sky said, work with what you have.
Seriously, this trade in the Si talk is getting really old. Civic is a Civic. |
