Edit: I did alittle search on a vented BOV vs a Recirculating one and yea think we need to be running a recirculation BOV if we don't want to be running rich, i will be calling them tomorrow so that they can send me the correct one. basically it is better to be running a Recirculating BOV on MAF equip vehicles if you don't want your car to stall, but this also depends on your application. It goes like this, a Vented BOV will release the air that the MAF already detected and by detecting the air it is telling the fuel injectors how much fuel to be pumping, and with he BOV releasing the air into the atmosphere it will create a rich condition on the engine, because there will be more fuel that air at the time the fuel is being burn. I hope this helps some people that are new to this stuff like me. Last edited by Civic Pride; 04-03-2008 at 11:45 PM. |

As far as the BOV, it should be the same one as in the picture but TSI uses a special fitting (or "flange") to make the BOV recirculate. Civic Pride, have you found out whether you have that or not? Please let me know (via PM) or call TSI and we will make sure one gets sent out ASAP.
