Post Comtech / JRSC Supercharger questions:

-Does comptech offer different size pullies?

-Will the comtech hondata reflash work with the jackson racing kit?

-On the JRSC kit what exactly needs to be grinded down to make the intake manifold fit properly? details please!

thx

Pete

if your going to get a supercharger kit. get a comptech. its night and day a billion times higher quality then the jackson kit. can't go wrong. new kits will ship out in a timely mannor compared to those of us having problems now. its because we were the first batch under comptechs new ownership and there new outsourced machine shop. now that all the bugs are worked out i dont see why they shouldnt be able to ship out on time.

still confused on the question about if comptech offers different size pullies to generate more boost for this kit!?!? i'm reading to different answers sorry guys

also if the JR boosts the same psi and same compression then the comptech ECU reflash should work all the same on the JRSC kit right? y would it not work? example please.

if i go with comptech i want a smaller pully for more boost, but i wanta make sure they offer it, so i can install all @ the same time.

UPDATE:
Just got off the phone with sales from (JR) Mossmotors and it's the housing to the water pump that needs to be grinded down abit. y not grind the kits manifold instead?

He said that there kit is only for the 2006, and won't run right on the 2008 cuz of caliberation on the ECU is different.? that ture?

Only 1 pulley size is supported right now, although I beleive the smaller ones have been sold before.

i would only assume there kits won't work right on 2007+ si's because of vsa. may be a problem with there piggy back.

as far as pulley sizes comptech does sell smaller pulleys but right now there is no way to tune our ECU's so until we are able to tune you are stuck at stage 1 which with I/H/E sits your right around 250+ whp. as soon as the ecu tunning is availiable the skys the limit.
as far as the kits. the jackson kit boasts it boosts 6-7 psi for 233is whp on a stock si.
comptech only boosts 4-5 psi stock but nets 225 on a stock si.

comptech is 1000 % higher quality.

and as for running the hondata tune on a jackson kit. its HIGHLY not recommended because it wasnt made specifically for that kit like comptech.
not to mention hondata won't give you the supercharger tune without proof you own a comptech kit so they wouldn't allow it anyway.

hope that answered some of your questions.

well even if the comptech reflash would work with the jackson kit, you can only get theh comptech reflash if you purchase the comptech kit. Its not like you can just call up Hondata and get the comptech reflash. The comptech kit comes with all the necessary paperwork to prove you purchased a kit from comptech.

oops i just reallized mike already said this. sorry
