Question Car Stutters off and on w/emanage

I've been running 10-11psi on a Greddy turbo kit with emanage ultimate and every now and then its stuttering. It usually happens when i shift into the next gear or on the highway in 6th gear. Last time it Stuttered at 3000Rpm and I couldnt rev higher even if i had the car floored. Other days it runs perfectly fine. I'm not sure why and am looking for suggestions or if this has happened to anyone else.

Current setup:
Greddy turbo kit 10-11psi (220tq, 250whp)
RC 750cc inj
Greddy RS BOV w/anti-stall adapter (modded to 1 Spring)
Random High Flow Cat
Greddy exhaust
AVCR
Act Street flywheel
Act stage 2 clutch

Probably your bov, they have a tendency to cause problems with the greddy kit from what I have read.

everyone has some sort of issue with the RS and ends up switching to something like the hks ssq

You need to recirculate the air from the BOV. The air that has been metered by the MAF is being blown into the atmosphere causing a super rich condition suddenly. I don't know if that would cause the safe mode but when the car doesn't allow you to rev past 3000 I think that's safe mode. Anyone? I do not own a Greddy kit yet but I have done ALOT of research on this subject and I heard this right from Redshift Chris.

This is just a thought so don't hold me to it. It might be something totally different. I'm just going by what I've read on this on this sight. It's actually one of the reasons I haven't purchased the Greddy kit yet.

Why did you go with 750cc?

Kit comes with 370cc I believe, and the next step up would be 440cc, but the Injectors isnt the problem, what the problem is I believe is your bov.

sounds like sox fan is right, i think your car is entering limp mode, which wont let you rev above 3k.

not positive though, you should seek help from one of the redshift guys, or someone that has more knowledge in the field

Wow, those are huge injectors for a turbo that size. You should run 440cc max.

Maybee your blowing off MORE air now due to more boost pressure....

But it almost sounds more like a fueling issue, have you tuned the Emanage? Maybee try some smaller injectors those are big for the numbers your putting down, but keep them until a better tuning option comes out so you never run out of duty cycle on your injectors.

Also doesn't the Emanage have an anti-stall feature for an atmospheric BOV with a MAF car? So in theory it shouldn't matter that it is Blown to the air, if you are using that..

I seen that anti stall feature after i updated the emanage but i didnt mess with it. It just sucks that when i disconnect my battery and reconect it my car runs fine for like 300 miles and then it runs like crap after that. Im waitin fro hondata to come out so I wont have any more issues but in the mean time im gonna try recirculating the bov

That charge air has been "read" by the MAF and fuel is calculated based on this reading, therefore venting it to atmosphere would throw the A/F ratio (causing the car to sputter). As Highrev mentioned, the more boost you're running, the more prevelent this problem will be. Also, running higher flow injectors without a tune is just going to compound this problem.

This picture is from another thread I posted in, but I figured this would be relevant:

this has been a problem since a turbo was put on this car. and noone has sucessfully recirculated the air. and this little amount of air will not put the car into LIMP MODE. the most it does is make the car fall on its face and stall because of the excess fuel. to avoid this all you have to do is make sure you downshift

yes everyone if you cant rev past 3000 this means the car is in limp mode, this happens to me if its cold and my engine sees more than 8 lbs of boost.

and OP i would say 100% your problem is the overkill injectors

I have the car tunned for 0.75 bar (10-11psi) Spikes to 0.82 bar and it happened in 6th gear around 70mph and the car was warm. I rarley pass 5500rpm,Im gonna try recirculating it and prob get 550cc inj and retune.

Not a fan of the 550cc injectors from RC..They have a funny spray pattern, I know they don't work well for supercharged cars above 7psi..Maybee try some RDX Injectors...
