For those of you that have a comptech supercharger

Tried searching but couldn't find..... What kind of maintenance do you have to do to your car and how often? like new belt, spark plugs, oil? Oh and will i still pass my emissons? I'm really intrested in getting a comptech stage II if and when it ever comes out and wanted to know?

Um just upkeep on the belt, id say change it every 30-40,000 miles. I change my oil just as i did when i was stock. Every 5000 miles. Just change your spark plugs at the recommended honda intervals. The kit comes with new plugs so its an opportunity to change them.

You will pass emmisions as long as you keep the stock header/cat.

Do you keep the same oil and what about the clutch?

stock clutch is fine for the stage 1 power output, unless of course you go out and burn it up driving stupid, yes you keep the same engine oil

Just keep an extra belt with you if that's a concern...As far as changing the belt: where there's a will there's a way...lol...It's obviously not ideal to do it without tools, but you could probably pull it off if you had to...As far as emissions: you'll pass as it has a CARB exemption...I do not have an S/C, but if you've only done simple bolt-ons it might not be a great idea to install this...I've looked at the install PDF and, while not too difficult, it's a lot more involved than bolt-ons...If you can take your time to do it that also factors in...this isn't something you want to rush through as it could f up your car...The 2 things that looked the hardest to me from viewing the install is: removal of the IM (I've removed mine and it's a bitch imho) and installing the new fuel pump...

You can run it with stock I/H/E but you wont see the maximum gains that you could with aftermarket.

Yes, but it's probably not a great idea...No one here has ran F/I with Nitrous yet as far as I can recall...You would certainly need some decent tuning...which there is none of yet...

Maintenance is pretty minimal. Belt changes and after 70k you need to change the oil in the supercharger. Other than than just keep up with your regular maintenance.

Does the sc require a special kind of oil?

when you get the comptech it comes with a new reflash so it would be a waste of money to get your ecu flashed ahead of time unless its the actual supercharger tune
