Doug at Hondata

When will he be visiting AJP once again? The dyno problems seem to have been resolved and I would really like to know for certain when Doug is scheduled to arrive.

I was able to talk with Ron and he said that the dyno is running fine now. He also said that Doug has been busy and has a commitment on the 11th of August. Ron still needs to talk with Doug about confirming a date as to when he can make it down but would like to target sometime after the 11th.

As of tomorrow, my car would have been in FL for three weeks at my relatives house. I'm planning to be at the shop when Doug arrives as I need my tune adjusted for the different turbo. Hopefully AJP can confirm a date for when Doug will be there shortly after the 11th so I can book a flight. If the 11th happens and AJP has yet to confirm Doug's travel arrangements, then I'll just fly down and drive the car back home because I can't leave it in FL indefinately.

I just spoke with Ron and he mentioned that Doug is on the calendar to arrive the weekend of the 25th of August. Ron mentioned that he would give me a call if the date or plans change.

I'm picking my car up on Friday of this week and driving it back home. This has just proven to be a complete waste of my time.

The owner of AJP (Ron) lied to me about Doug visiting their shop (on several occasions). Initially Ron said that he was planning to have Doug there the weekend of the 14th of July. I spoke with Ron at 11:30am on the 13th of July and he said that Doug would not be there that weekend since they had issues with their dyno and needed to resolve. Ron said that he was planning to reschedule to have Doug there sometime the following week or weekend. With that being said, I decided to drive my car 1,100 miles down there on the 13th of July and left it at a relatives house. I also called Doug at Hondata to confirm arrangements.

On Monday the 16th of July, I received a message on my home phone from Doug. He said that it has been quite a long time since he spoke with anyone at AJP and suggested that I not drive the car down to FL if I had yet to leave as he had absolutely no plans or intentions of going down there. How would he if AJP never called him. In any event, I received the call after I had already left, so I figured that I would wait it out and just leave the car in FL for the time being.

From that date forward, I continued to speak with Ron on a weekly basis looking for an update. They ended up having another issue with the dyno and needed to order a replacement O2 sensor since the one on the dyno kept fouling out. The O2 sensor was evidently fixed around the end of July. I then started this thread as I saw that their dyno was back up and running via a post on the blog that is on the AJP website.

From then, you can see the results of my conversation with Ron. Ron mentioned trying to get Doug down there a day or so after the 11th (didn't happen) and in my latest conversation with Ron (yesterday the 7th of August) he mentioned that Doug is on their calendar to arrive at AJP on the 25th. I then asked Ron if Doug's flight arrangements have been confirmed. Ron said that they are handling the booking of Doug's flight and plan to have that completed soon. Ron then went on to say that he would let me know if any of the plans change.

With that being said, I decided to verify the travel arrangements with Doug once again. I contacted Doug yesterday (the 7th of August) and stated the following:
Has Ron or anyone else from All Japanese Performance in Florida spoken to you recently about visiting their shop around the 25th of August 2007? I spoke with Ron this morning where he mentioned this date and I wanted to confirm that he actually spoke with you this time. If he has not, do you have any intentions of visiting within the next month or two?
Want to know Doug's reply? He said:
No- one has spoken with me. I am out of the office for the next two weeks.
I'd now like to take this time to publically thank AJP and the owner for such a wonderful experience. You wasted a lot of my time and money with this latest experience. I'm picking up my car this weekend and bringing it back home...Thanks a bunch!

Make that several times.

Warped turbo manifold flange (had to have someone else fix), custom downpipe not built to my specifications where they wanted more money to correct, and others. I've made several threads related to my joyful experience since originally purchasing.

<----- Surprised that this is in AJP's Sponsor thread and no response from AJP has been made AT ALL.

Oh wait, no I'm not. AJP. Sucks that you are letting those most important to your business down. You know, the customers who pay you for your time and product. Yeah, wave buh-bye to them.
