Comptech's Stage one dyno pulls with or without bolt ons

Does anyone have any dyno sheets. I have gone through a couple of pages in here and have yet to see one. I found one in 10/2006 but it was high elevation so number were not impressive.

I know Comptech advertises the kit alone will achieve 40-50 at the wheels (boost varies depending on sea level). I just want to see if anyone has actual data. I got 4k burning a whole in my pocket and I am not waiting on REDSHIFT anymore.

I have the typical performance bolt ons, I/H/E w/TB bypass, TB gasket, HONDATA IMG, HAMP high pressure oil filter, and all royal purple fluids(coolant, tranny, motor). So last thing on the list is CTSCS1 and.

Please help. Thanks in advance.

$4K is enough to get the Greddy Turbo @ $3200 for 254 whp (now plug-n-play), or this Turbo @$2999 for 290 whp (if you believe 'em):

http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48580

Just making sure you know these options. If you've already eliminated a turbo, then plesae ignore...

If I didn't already have everything installed on my car (I/H) I might have considered. I also would like to be diferent. I love the way a turbo sounds and the BOV is almost like sex to me but everyone has it. In my area everyone has civics with turbos and I would love to be the first with belt driven boost. And not to mention beat their ass with it too(just kinding) :).

Thanks for the info though. I did not know I could get one so cheap and produce that much by itself.

COMplex. here on 8th is probably who you got your dyno from considering he's at a mile high altitude and has the kit.

However, you can expect approx what his final performace gains were. The dyno results are SAE corrected, so he should put down approx the same numbers (of course boost is affected by altitude, so he would probably put down more horse at sea level I would think) at the same type of dyno at sea level. FYI, his car pulls so much harder than mine both off the line, and at speed. I think his numbers are decieving due to the dyno itself.

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1781197

Also Hellzcivic on the dreaded honda-tech has the kit and he lives at around sea level. But I think his post on his dyno is off to archive hell. Oooh, NM, here it is!

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1798014

Then there's OneSi here on 8th:

2006 Comptech SC Civic Si Production Model

And remember all dyno's are different. That and the bolt-ons these guys have are different. And the way they broke their car in is different...etc...

Hope that helped.

Oh, and on a personal level, I'd choose Comptech compared to everything out there right now - turbo or S/C. I'm in love with the sound of Turbos and BOV as well as the kick and tuneability, but I have the luxury of having a girlfriend with a WIP EM2 that will be boosted soon. I'd rather have reliability and DD performance on my '06. If I go FI that is.

Good info. I am not sure who it was so I will check. I do know about Complex's car and I love the way his car runs (judging by video of course). I have Injen CAI, DCRH, and Skunk2 70MM Mega power so I hope to achieve even more than OneSi. Even if I do not 45whp and 27.5 wtq is great!

Thanks bro.

GReddy kit does not ship with a BOV as it is CARB legal. BOV = CARB illegal.

why do you not want to wait on redshift anymore. Their kit is going to far more upgradable with the use of 2 cooling methods on their intake manifold. Plus hopefully the twin screw will yeild cooler outlet temps over the roots.

I was bouncing back and forth with Comptech and REDSHIFT the beginning of this year. After research I knew REDSHIFT would be superiour. I had set aside money so I can buy it on the release date (April 15th). April 15th has come and gone and since then two more release date have come out and still no charger.

Don't get me wrong I have no problem with them making sure the product if right before a launch but I am at my end as far as mod parts. So basically I am growing impatient.

Once I get boosted I have nothing moe to get but new tires and year.

Anyone else with dyno sheets on a supercharger with mods?

Yea i was goin to the same set up but you can not smoke a turbo charged car with a supercharger. Turbo gots more power just a lil tune then you got an extra 10-30 whp.

You may regret not waiting down the line. Did you call them lately? I'm in the same boat as you. Injen/buddyclub rh/skunk2 70mm. I would only supercharge b/c I would be able to keep all the stuff I already have.

No, I have not call'd anyone. I just stay tuned to the website every so often. Alot less now then b4. I have sent an email to Tai at Corsport and I will probably just place my order with them once they get it back on the shelves. I am sure I will regret it but when you're let down so many times back to back you tend to loose faith. I talked them up for a while and I told everyone Redshift was the one to get but that FIRE I had kind of went away now.
