I would put it in the fender well area behind the bumper. This way no cop can pop your hood and see that you're discharging air into the atmosphere that is not being routed back into the intake nor exhaust (if the cop knows what a bov is). I was always worried about that back with my boosted EM1. But then again my greddy kit came with a CARB sticker so I didn't have to worry about the turbo itself being illegal.

In the optimal configuration, you should really get a vacuum block and T off the brake booster hose. That would allow all connected hoses to see the same amount of boost or vacuum. In your current setup, the devices connected to your vacuum source are not getting the same reading since you have more than one T-fitting. If you install a vacuum block off of the brake booster, your PCV hose should be connected as in the stock configuration, but you will still need to install a check valve on that hose to prevent the PCV from seeing boost. Here is a PIC for reference: ![]() If you need one, I have a bunch for sale and a few other things in this thread. |

the closer it is to the Tb the more effective it will be. However, in the interest of being stealthy, I would hide it somewhere along the pipe that is between intercooler and TB.
Personally the BOV should have its own vaccum source. How are some people getting away with the vent to atmosphere? |

I'll have my Synapse Synchronic BOV installed this next week so I'll try to post some pics after I do. I'm planning on putting it near the throttle body. The only thing I worry about is that it came with a steel flange and the piping is aluminum, can it be welded on effectively? I will be finding out soon...
