Size tubing for Turbo stage 1??? stage 2??

Hi,

I know that if you go forced induction you will need a larger exhaust system.
What do you think is a good size exhaust if you plan on going with a stage 1 turbo? I hear that 2.25 is fine. What about stage 2? Also some people say that w/o forced induction a large exhaust will make you lose power.... i dont know if this is true...but its wut ive heard
