Exhaust for Supercharger

I was wondering what exhaust diameter would be best to run with a supercharger, and specifically the RedShift Charger, if anyone has info on this...RedShiftChris??? I am looking at putting on the skunk2 70mm (2.75") and the Buddy Club Header on the car, but I do not want to buy things twice. I know most of the turbo setups are running the 3 inch, but I was wondering if thie is neccessary for a super charger. My goal is to get a header and exhaust combo that is fun for now, but will give me good performance when the supercharger comes out. So if anyone has a recomendation of what would be better to go with I would greatly apperciate it. Thanks in Advance!

Good write up! I was wondering if anyone could provide information about the future with performance and the diameter of the exhaust. I am really looking for information of if it is necessary to go with the 3 inch for a supercharger, or is 2.75 enough???

The skunk2 is a great exhaust for the price. We will be offering 2.5" and 3" LCA exhausts for all 8th Gen Civic's at $450 and $520 shipped respectively. The performance of the 2.75" for up to 300 whp is probably just as good as the 3". Over 300 whp will be enough different that the 3" is going to be worth something....the more power you are trying to make, the more difference it's going to make. We'll have not done testing on this yet.

I think the Skunk2 2.75" is hard to beat, unless it's a full on race car and you are trying to save weight with our LCA setup.

Cheers,
Chris at RedShift

Chris,

This is exactly what I was looking for. I am thinking specifically about the stage three kit, and looking for around 300-325whp. I also think that I am going to go with the Hytech header. Would this make sense to run the hytech header with the skunk2 exhaust?
