Here's how I see it:

The AJP kit will not run 100% correct until we have k-pro or equivalent...plain and simple. Some are ok with this and some are not (me included).

Should AJP warn people of these known issues? Absofuckinlutely!

I could care less if people buy this kit, but I for one, will continue to warn those who are considering it of these issues, which I feel are unnaceptable for this kind of $$

Valid point. I understand your perspective and opinion. Some that have the AJP kit installed have experienced issues (specifically stalling) that others with the kit have not experienced in the same manner. Am I defending AJP...Nope. I paid full price like everyone else. Am I willing to accept a fault in their kit considering the amount paid...Nope. Do I find fault in their kit for my fuel pump to no longer register pressure at the fuel gauge...(initially I would have said yes, but Mike pointed us to the relay problem which was not AJP's fault...I found it ironic that I had the relay failure soon after he said something...bad karma I guess). Don't get me wrong, I think about every single part that I put on my car and make a point to voice out issues that most others will not even mention. There have been a few posts regarding the Compech SC and Greddy TC where problems were mentioned, but I have yet to see an owner of such a kit post the problems in detail as well as what was done to determine a resolution to the problem.

No offence Rikk, but you screwed up your installation in several areas that you are well aware of.

as im not looking to make any enemies here ... i share the same opinion as caliguy... i think that its a shame that AJP would release such a kit without the proper tuning .... i respect the numbers the kit puts down .. believe me .. you guys got some serious beasts with the ajp kit .. it just irks me that there are so many little issues with the kit .. yet AJP keeps pushing em out and to top it off ... dont even address the issues to resolution in the quickest manner possible ... i know alot of people are waiting for a proper tune to be available .. but if i was AJP .. id just halt sales of the kit until i could put out a product that was 100%

blueroadster - if i offended you in anyway .. i apologize ... i was just stating my distaste for the kit and the fact that AJP is horrible in the way they handle both the product they sell and the customers who purchase it

good luck to you - i hope that they do get the tuning issue solved because i love boosted SI's .. turbo or SC

Treuce ?

You seem to know the facts for the stalling on a kit that you do not even have experience with. Again I ask, please be so kind as to share your infinate wisdom so that those with the kit can move forward. And if you cannot read, AJP did not supply a replacement fuel pump relay as the kit relies on the stock one to do its job where evidently it failed.

Good day!
im sorry but that is the funniest thing ive ever heard

This thread was intended to give a review on a turbo kit for 5K so far. No kit is going to be perfect and especially on these cars as everything is still so knew and the ECU is probably the biggest setback.

Honda06si, thank you for posting this review as i found it very interesting and helpful.

Leaving this thread alone now. I kind of lost my cool on a few responses and apologize if I happened to have offended anyone with my words.

It is good when people fight, but this has gotten far too personal and it has ruined the thread and the information for a lot of us. A spirited discussion is always awsome and the reason why I joined this forum in the first place. But what has happened here is UGLY.

Seems to me things have cooled up though, props to everyone who let things go and made it work out.

I'm new and don't have a boosted car but I was wondering why would it stall if you push in the clutch at 6000rpm? thanks

well, most think its because of this.

the air going through the air filter passes by the MAF(mass air flow) sensor and the computer reads that that air is about to go into the engine, then you let of the gas, therfore the blow off valve is venting that air that the MAF just read into the atmosphere, and so the engine never sees that air, but the computer thinks it did, so it puts more fuel in to engine and it floods itself

I removed a lot of bickering in this thread. I have no problem with people debating or expressing their opinion, but the personal attacks aren't going to solve anything.

HAPPY 4th JULY!!! lol No fighting on the 4th

Hows your experience relate to Greddy owners experience? at this moment in time im more scared to Turbo my car then to S/C it, turbo is more in depth & involves alot more potential problems to get greater Horsepower....i wanna go boost just dont know what route or manufacter
