It Finally Happened...We Broke @ the Track

As the title states we broke. As many of you have been wondering when was it going to happen. Some wondered how come it had yet to happen. Well the time has finally come for us all to see the end results of some hard work.

We took the car up to the track here tonight in an effort to see what we could pull out of her. Since the last time was not very eventful we borrowed a set of 4 year old used slick and decided to give it another try.

With a pathetic launch and the almost dry rotted slicks we were only able to pull a meager 2.1 60 ft on the launch.

Track Video Right Click Save as Please

Here is Ron delivering the news to Doug @ Hondata

The car weighs in at 2800lbs even without the 225lbs driver behind the seat. It was run with full trim with spare tire jack seats all all oem trim intact.

By the way what we broke was the 11 second barrier. the car went 11.9 @ 121mph on oem axles and 24.5" used slicks.

20psi with the car weighing in @ 2800lbs without the driver. We only ran one pass so we wouldnt get kicked off for not having a scatter sheild or a cage installed.

Haha, I love the mind game with the title. I as much as anyone have been heralding the coming doom of this engine, but they guys at AJP and the K20Z3 continue to amaze and astound.

those same people fail to realize AJP isn't working blind ... it helps to have hondata on ur side ...

PS: even then the doom can happen ... but unlikely when precaution>cure.
