will i need intercooler?

hi, if i have a greddy turbo kit. will i need to buy my own intercooler and blowoff valve? or can it run the turbo alone without it and i can just buy it later when i upgrade my turbo?

i thought the greddy kit comes with a intercooler. a blow off valve is not at all necessary for the basic greddy setup.

www.greddy.com will tell you all the information you need to know about what comes with the kit.

the kit comes with the intercooler not sure about BOV.If the instructions arent in the box you can get them from the greddy website.I am gonna get the kit too but Im gona wait to buy it because they are updating the plug-n-play harness and are not currently shipping any kits.

Doesnt come with bov, comes with intercooler, the kit produces about 5-7 psi, and about how strong it is?? its upgradeable ill leave it at that, if your looking for about 280 get the ajp down pipe with this kit along with a good tune and the numbers should be right there dont forget your AFR and boost gauges

Edit:and another thing just recirculate the bov because the bov by itself will make the car run rich

tuning...MBC

OP: Don't run either, you don't need them. But if you do decide to get one over the other get the BOV as it will cool your turbo when it shoots into the atmosphere......
hahahahahahah!!

Get a boost controller and make it run 15 psi

And FTW there both neccessary,, intercooler is a must , and recirculated or not bov helps to prolong the life of your turbo

i dont think u should be purchasing a turbo kit if u dont even know what components it needs nonetheless how it works.

yeah and it keeps the turbo spooling in between shifts whcih makes you faster!hahahhaha!

really, a Bov is only necessary when running high boost applications. That excess air left in a turbo boosting 5-7psi with no Bov is not going to harm your snail.
I'd be more concerned about running rich and the loss of power from a bov than gaining a cool noise!!

Im glad the opening post is about an intercooler. i agree with a few posts above me about not getting a turbo kit if the Oposter didnt know that an intercooler was necessary!!

just a note with the injectors that come with the kit they are 370cc injectors.370cc injectors usually max out at 250whp on a dynojet.so that is probl. the max power you will get out of those injectors.the peps that are getting 280hp they are getting those numbers on a hub dyno not a wheel hp dyno.

now the 440cc injectors will get you about 280whp maybe a lil more

yess the bov may not be needed now...but if u run much more boost id say get one... bc if u dont u will be needed to upgrade the turbo due to compressor surge.
