Who else has a turbo kit in the works for 06+ Si's?
Does anybody know if there are any other turbo kits besides the Greddy or AJP that are upcoming or available for the SI?Has anyone tried to make their own kit yet? Any help or info would be appreciated.

Do you have any other info about this upcoming kit? The T25 and T28 BB turbos are exactly what I had in mind for good all-around daily driver performance. All I need is a reliable 260- 280 WHP and a good suspension setup. Cheers, Adam |

No...but I recently bought some parts off a guy (sponsor/builds cars for large companies/etc) who has the protoype kit for sale. I bought some of the parts off the car---the kit is still availabe. Located in NJ...I believe he is selling it for $1k---without the actually turbo itself, everything else included. |

Not including tuning, building a quality kit would not be too difficult...Just very time consuming for development, production, and support. Unfortunately, the average Joe does not have the required skills to build a solid kit nor the reputation needed to sell it successfully to make a profit (that would come over time as reputation increases).
In addition, if one were to start building a kit, most customers prefer to either purchase from a well known company (generally less risk to the consumer) or from a new company (generally more risk to the consumer) that is innovative and brings something new to the market that people "must have." In essesnce if a new company brings something to the table, then it all boils down to whether or not they have the time, skills, money, and belief that a profit can result from what they are bringing to market. |
