What is wrong with AJP?

I have heard rumors about AJP having a bad history? Can someone direct me to what this rumor is all about? Honestly I have been looking at their site and their products and have not found another company that can match their products or craftsmanship. Thanks.

Well then whets the question? Every company pisses off someone eventually and angry people make more noise than happy people. If you can’t find anything blatantly wrong with them then that is most likely because there I nothing blatantly wrong with them.

You are starting off on the wrong foot on here. AJP is respected by many on this site for what they've accomplished. Their are a few who have a legitimate beef with but let them handle it. The truth IMO about AJP is they have the most powerful turbo kit for the Si on the market hands down. The biggest issue is engine management which isn't available yet.

there were problems with one user in particular installing the setup wrong and having a lot of problems. The biggest problem still is engine management - for all the kits. Read the posts in their forum and the getting faster forum and you'll see where some users had issues.

I like the new buttons on the site webby. AJP FTW just wait for management.

Too bad they have not been on the boards for a while to join the celebration. Is there anyone left on here that has the turbo kit installed and either lives near or frequents AJP?

i talked to them yesterday as well..
i think it is a good set up minus engine management. it is a little overpriced and it takes a while to get their products shipped, but they are still new so it is a little understandble.the kit i have is one of the first, so i have a few more issues than most people, but they are mainly rattles that i can fix myself.all in all i am happy w/ the kit thus far.shop around and weigh out your options b/c there are other options out there that are cheaper like n20 or supercharger.i can't wait to see redshift's kit and from what i have heard full race should be impressive as well. a kit is only as good as the tune and well we just don't have many options w/ that

Good to hear that they are still around and answering the phone and all. It does make me wonder why they are a sponsor and have their own section on this forum if they don't check and reply to threads every once and a while.

well i don't have the kit no more ... but i stopped by the shop today for a couple reasons...

1. i heard the owner of the white car was back in town with the keys... yes he had gone to trinidad for a while with his keys so the car was just sitting there ... same guy happens to be part owner of the shop ...

2. seeing as the owner was back i wanted to find out a couple things ..

3. went to show off my conversion the fruits of selling the kit

soooooooooooo ...

the car was up in the air on a lift undergoing checks ... seems to me they looking to rev a lil higher cuz i think i overheard something to the extent of they are going with an rsx-s oil pump which i think means they are getting rid of the balanced shaft ...

they made mention of the making it to the races at Moroso ... i think those races take place about the first week of may ...

so i guess yall will be seeing/hearing more from the shop car + AJP ...

seems like the silence came after "Ron" went away for a while ... most of the people who have dealt with ajp will know that Ron is the man who was at the forefront....

oh ... they liked my front end conversion ... but was wondering when i'd go boost again
