word to 2rotor or anyone else ....

an afr of 20 and ur car will not idle ... it will die ... end of story ...

when u just start up the car the afr is like 17s so that the car can warm up quicker then as the temp bar raises the afr gradually goes down ... it should stop in the 14s for an NA car and 14.7 would be perfect ...

in the 17s u'll hear the car sputter like it doesn't even want to idle (that is under the ajp application) ... stock it's just loud and revs are up (same with ajp application but louder) ....

when i had the apexi neo i could cut fuel till the car cut off ad idle ... if i took afr to like 19 it would just die ... so idling in the 20s is just crazy ... it won't happen ...

come to think about it .... i think an apexi neo can be used to trim your fuel at idle but then leave all other parameters untouched so that ur table is not affected ....
the table will not be affected if u adjust ur fuel at idle cuz the car will run closed loop under boost and the tune will take care of the fuel requirements as long as the fuel pressure is set right ...

what i'm not sure of is if the fpr will allow for adjustment of the fuel at idle by a secondary device like the neo seeing as the fuel pressure is already set there ... but a set fuel pressure doesn't mean "fuel allowed" right? so it may work???

but i remember when i went over to ajp to have the neo removed (after i got the reflash) they had mentioned something to the effect that doug (hondata) mentioned that i can keep to the neo to adjust fuel trim at idle cuz the car will run rich with the reflash and the size injectors the kit has (so that was known).... so that's food for thought ... but i didn't want the neo on my car cuz it worked like ass under other circumstances(boost) ... so maybe someone can try this out ... i think it may work ...

PS: i'm going to hook up a wideband to my fa5 to monitor afr soon just for my own knowledge sake ... we'll see what happens.

oh and if anything ... for my preference ...
i won't want my forced induction car idling at 14s afr ...
why? cuz to me .... after i boost ... i want a lil extra fuel in there at idle to cool things down a lil ... but that's just me ...

but 10s afr is ridonculous.

You did not mention the part about when you placed your order you were asked what you wanted the true 3" or the 2.5" flange you chose the 3".

You called and mentioned that u are putting it on a stock header. Now we told you to send the part with the flanged are and we would change it for you no additional charge. You did not send it back to us and called two weeks later upset. Once I spoke with you; you stated that u misunderstood what was told to and that you did not want to waite the time need to send it in to us and have it corrected. As an option I mentioned that you could have a local shop do this for if you were in a rush.

Even the manager would do nothing to help me out. I ended up selling the exhaust for a loss of $400 to someone who was willing to modify it to make it work. I have never dealt with a company so unwilling to correct a mistake when they clearly were at fault
Now correct me if i am wrong but when u called you started by asking questions about the turbo kit before the exhaust and you order the exhaust and said that you will be ordering the kit later on.

Ben, Id be happy to correct you since you are wrong once again. If I were you I would just give up on the whole customer service thing. I clearly stated the facts of my experience with your company and your version does not even touch the reality of what happened. You have smoothed over the post to appear that I am one of many unhappy customers and AJP did everything they could to resolve the issue. You have taken more effort to defend yourself in this post then you ever dedicated to fixing your mistakes and getting me the parts I needed. I was crystal clear when I ordered my exhaust and you were clear when you realized you had sent the wrong parts and made promises to correct the problem, which were later denied and the process of blowing me off began. You cant screw up a order, provide slow shipping, promise to correct the problem, and then tell the customer you changed your mind and its now thier problem. And then expect the customer to send it all back to you at their shipping expense and believe that you are going to do what you said you would. Its too late man, you have already changed your story and lost the trust of the customer. That kind of bad advertising cant be later defended in a post of which all your answers are based on short term memory. Im fortunate that I never spend thousands on your turbo kit as they are clearly not what you advertise them to be. And Ben, if you plan on responding to all the negative posts about your company you better get a more comfortable chair to sit in...

I am sorry to hear that they were not willing to do the right thing (join the boat)...Like you said...at least you didn't spend thousands on the turbo kit.

Funny the original poster has one post defending AJP, isn't it cute a company has to come on and make phony accounts to try and build up credability.

Great first post! How's that $1300 header coming along?
