Quoting a post from another thread and placing my response here:
Quote:
1) I do not have any issues changing the oil filter since the downpipe is not in the way. That comment was related to this thread. There is someone else on this forum that has to remove their downpipe as well to remove the filter. 2) I do have an exhaust leak because the flange that bolts to the block is not straight. I mentioned this yesterday and said that I was going to take it to a local machine shop for correction. The flange should have been straight and I should not have had to find this problem and pay to have it fixed. If you recall, I even sent my original manifold back as a core and paid for a brand new manifold to be made. In that request, I asked for the best manifold that AJP could produce (i.e., a show piece) and yet the flange was not even straight. I talked to you about this over the phone as well as in person and yet an offer was not made to correct. There is also one other person that has mentioned that on this forum that they have an exhaust leak. I'll let that person speak for themselves as the cause was not reported. Also, I did speak to you guys about my downpipe and was not happy to find that it was not built to the specification provided. Details were mentioned in this thread, but no help was offered to correct the part without additional payment. I have always been polite and given AJP an opportunity to comment before I post. My thoughts come from concerns of issues being ignored (i.e. bypassing the fuel filter with the return kit), feeling tested (i.e., asking for more money to fix a part that should have been built correctly the first time), and simply not being willing to admit a mistake and offer to do the right thing. At minimum, a simple "I'm sorry" would have been nice. It would not have costed a cent, but would make me feel that there is at least a little bit of care there. |

I bought the ajp from someone on here for 300 buck new without the straight piece that connects to the downpipe. I would have to say that quality is pretty nice, but after all, there exhaust is other companies product welded together. But, the welds are nice I must say.
