Ajp owners help!!
So I go to change my oil filter today for the first time... And I vaguely remember someone saying that you don't have to disconnect the downpipe to remove the oil filter... Well I guess every install that AJP does is not the same because my the first thing I noticed was that my oil filter had a small indentions in it from where the downpipe had been rubbing against it... needless to say, they were about 10 mm apart... So the first thing I was thinking was that this isn't gunna work... Well it didn't
Anyone who has done this please shed some light

The downpipe should be no where near the oil filter. It sounds like you are referring to the dump tube coming off of the wastegate. Can you take and post a PIC showing the clearance around the oil filter? |

Most of the kits AJP sold are the same unless you were an early bird like myself. The early kits used a Tial 38mm wastegate which was changed to a Tial 44mm wastegate shortly after the kit was released. Most people that have the kit received the 44mm wastegate. I ended up upgrading to the 44mm, but am waiting on the manifold and turbine housing to come back from being coated before I can reinstall the parts. |

As an update, I installed the turbo assembly and downpipe and can access the oil filter without having to remove anything. The bend in the downpipe is a little more than an inch away from the corner of the oil filter when installed. The wastegate dumptube is even further away from the filter.

Well here are the pics of my downpipe in relation to the oil filter... as you can see its virtually impossible to get that thing off w/o rotating the downpipe... only a couple of mm between the two
![]() ![]() ![]() And heres a pic showing just how hard it is to access that V-clamp... for once its good to be skinny
