i am running 7 pounds of boost on low and 10 pounds on high. and my si has had no trouble. its just the Greddy piggy back system is pritty much crap which only lets you tune air/fuel pritty much. my 2007 civic si sedan is making 267.4 hp to the wheels. just waiting for new computer to come out so we can control vtec and angle of the cams. but anything past 11 pounds on a civic i think is almost overkill for stock internals. but when that new computer comes out then i will get new internals.

So is it the e-manage your using or the V-Manage? I'm not sure what the difference is but I'm dying to boost my Si but I'm so tired of waiting for Kpro, so I'm trying to find a way around it. Do you know if the E-mangage Ultimate lets you adjust your timing?

It has to be able to adjust timing else it's not really a proper tune. You don't have much ability to maximize power and prevent knock without it. Shouldn't be any issues intercepting the injector signal to retard timing. Advancing timing, however, is a different issue. You would need a standalone ECU to be able to advance the spark signal, since the piggyback is downstream of the ECU and how to you predict what the ECU will send for ignition signals?

yes i have talked to all the k-Pro people and the manager and they said that they might not make one but only time will tell the only thing i can think of if people spam them =] and get them to make one. i think the only way around it now is to get a custom computer but thats like 3 grand down the drain if you want it that bad.

Screw that. If its not out by the end of this summer I'm either going SC with a simple reflash or swapping a k24 into my si and switching to a throttle cable and just using the rsx kpro on the type s ecu. Then turbo that.

Good luck with your stock gauges, other CAN based systems integrated and OBD-II compliance (if it matters in your location) if you go with the swap and need a custom tune for the setup.

We shall see. I might just sell out and get a piggy back.

I am a little confused. If the experts say to not go past 9-10psi, which will gives you more than 250whp, then why do they say 250whp is the breaking point and anything over that is risky? I understand that what they say is about the engine longevity but I kind of seems that it kind of contradicts itself when they suggest those high psi's... Or do the max psi's mean that if you pass that you are definitely going to blow your engine?

9 psi on a smaller turbo is different than 9 psi on a larger one. How well the turbo and motor flow will make a difference. There is no definite for "you will blow your motor." Don't take that out of context either...we know that 50 psi on a T88 will do it. There are a lot of variables that go into the equation. Common sense isn't excluded. You want big numbers...build your motor. You want daily driveablility and reliability, don't go overboard with the power on a stock motor.

@ 250wtq being the "supposed" breaking point for a K-Series due to supposed "general knowledge"

No offense but there is at least a few dozen S/C guys on ClubRSX running 300wtq all day stock motor and probably another dozen of us turbo guys running well over 300wtq....granted K-Pro helps but still...it's not the breaking point for the motor by any means.....few years back before K-pro was out for us, people used to think the same thing about needing to swap internals at 300whp or so...it's all in the tune. Now that K-Pro has been out for a few years you see guys running over 500whp on stock motor...

You guys need to get on Hondata's ass and get a reliable tuning solution released!

From Maximum Boost by Corky Bell -

A PROPERLY TUNED forced induction engine will wear about 10% faster than a naturally aspirated engine.
